RE: Sean a candidate for USF A.D
He might get a P5 job but he won’t get an AAC job. Aresco and fellow peers will work behind the scenes to ensure Mr. “UCF disrespects the committee claiming a title” and “AAC needs to be in a G5 Playoff” never slips through the cracks into their league.

If we have "a" big season I under STF I think you mean. Honestly, he has checked out and its better for him to move on. He is applying for literally every job that is opening. NEVER EVER a good sign when that happens. Get someone in here who cares about Huskie athletics and who is willing to evaluate coaches and do other duties an AD is hired to do. Good riddance STF. Maybe the word is out how much of a fraud this guy is.

Pretty sure that like most coaches he has a company on retainer to hunt, negotiate and pre-interview for him.

Heck, I was excited about Ricardo Patton, too. Looks like we've had a lot to be excited about!

I would be ok with Sean leaving, if your heart is not with the Huskies, there is a door for you. I wish him luck, thank you for your time.

Totally agree, the position is for all purposes vacated right now. He has checked out. The longer a position is filled by someone in name only, the worse the situation will get. As they say, someone is just "collecting a paycheck" right now. I honestly think he answers to nobody

What gets me most is the lack of needed repairs to Huskie Stadium. Forget about the "Master Plan". I realize that fundraising has failed and that there is no money to even talk about it. But there are facility repairs/upgrades that have been needed for a long time in Huskie Stadium. The bathrooms are disgusting and a complete embarrassment. The urinal troughs from 1965 need to go and be replaced. There needs to be adequate facilities. I sometimes used the bathroom in the Skybox, and I could barely fit in there. I am embarrassed to bring guests and tell them that they should use a bathroom before we get to the stadium. Concessions could use a makeover, too. These are not major renovations.

True, and I don't think the fans watching our Tuesday night games from home on TV generally translate into big donors that could donate toward even just the maintenance, never mind upgrades.

What gets me is most of you ASSUME Sean has given up and is floating his resume around. Maybe other schools like what he has done with the tools he has and THEY approach him. Don't let MD lead you down the crazy path.
Be careful what you wish for.

Great points, but for me, I wouldn't even complain if the status quo was maintained, that would even be an accomplishment at this point. I am pretty much used to having to pee in a bottle at Huskie Stadium. However, things are regressing under him. We just need an AD who does the fundamentals of the job and the core duties. This would include not routinely flipping off fans, actually evaluating coaches, etc. Right now I think the single biggest problem the NIU athletic department has can be summed up in one word, "accountability". Carey and Monty know they are not going to be evaluated for their performances, and if you go to Frazier, I honestly do not think anyone is evaluating his performance either. Nobody is answering to anyone at this point which is a little worrisome.

No upgrades for a team that draws less than 15k. Add the budget crisis and it would be shocking if any improvements are made.

Heart. Yes. He might love working at niu but if someone offered to double your salary I'm sure you would have something to think about. Why do we blame him for taking offers. We just need to realize that there may be better jobs out there no matter our love for the huskies.

In October 2014, Frazier announced a planned $138 million renovation, named the Athletics Facilities Master Plan, of Huskie Stadium as well as other aspects of the athletics department, including a new baseball stadium.
Despite the loss of former star quarterback Jordan Lynch in 2013 and sparser crowds, the school was able to increase its revenue from $189,000 per game to $224,000 per game due to the renovations at the stadium.
Creative resume writing at its finest. Every AD has a renovation plan. Getting the big buck donors is the key. Zero so far for SF.
Raising revenue per game is all smoke. It is amazing that SF can do this with a decrease in attendance. I would love to see the breakdown on the numbers.

Times have been tough at NIU but STF still needs to produce. He seems to be sitting on his thumb if you ask me.
Since schedulepalooza (then he lost the home Maryland game) I haven't been impressed by much that he has done. This is my 15th year with season tix (short time by some standards). I expect more from the AD, especially from what he was given.

Speaking of alternative facts and resume writing......friend of mine in Texas asked me about a guy who was at NIU that was hired at Texas-San Antonio. I had no clue who he was talking about so he finally tracked down the release and forwarded it.
My question is how many of us missed these miracles done while he was here? Second question is how many people even remember this guy?
Morris White was hired as the associate athletics director for marketing, broadcast and community relations on July 17, 2017. White comes to the Alamo City from Northern Illinois University, where he spent the last three years as assistant athletics director of marketing and game experience. White coordinated all aspects of game day production, managed the marketing staff and provided oversight of special events. During his time at NIU, the Huskies saw increases in attendance and ticket sales for various sports and increased awareness in the community. Prior to NIU, he served as the director or marketing and promotions at Murray State from 2011-2014.

Yes, and that alone was enough to increase attendance and ticket sales.
