Lets look at instate point guard Julian Dozier 5'9 who has offers from Oakland, us and U of D and an All City pick. He hasn't signed with anyone and we needed a PG. I assume there may be some issues which is why he isn't signed. We have tried shorter PGs like Stone and Ellison with the hopes of finding the next Earl Boykins. Both instate. It didn't work. The two signed PGs are 6'3, 6'2 which again gives us more length at the top of the zone. Really at this point in the recruiting cycle we are looking at "reaches" and taking some risks. Its too bad Macdoo didn't stay.

I agree with your post. We don't well in-state in FB, MBB or WBB.

I do find that surprising as yes, FB, had been down for a long time, but MBB and especially WBB have had some good runs and play in a top notch arena.

If with CC, a 2018 bowl game plus a new facility and FB still can't recruit maybe EMU has a negative reputation in-state.

And that would be a shame. EMU has an excellent campus.

Prep school in Toronto Ontario don't know much about the level of prep school competition. Congratulations to Luis Pacheco Jr (@BigLu_33) on being named the 2018-2019 NPA Defensive Player of the Year! ? Luis averaged a big double double this season with 12.5 PPG & 11.7RPG. Also, the @Crestwood_Hoops senior forward protected the rim averaging over 2 blocks a game!

Looks like a solid big man. Fairly solid physically, not a stick. Not much game outside of the paint but that's ok because Eastern needed another inside player.

Long arms and reach, seems to run the court well and you can't teach blocked shots.
