Three TDs, FG, and a Safety.

Or they missed two PATs.

Again?

Between Tuesday (ND) and Wednesday (NU) we gave up 29 runs. And split.

I don't know what they were playing at Hyames yesterday but it wasn't Baseball.

I was there and it looked like beer league softball out there.

These scores aren't surprising. Nobody is wasting their #1 starter or high-leverage relievers on meaningless mid-week non-conference games this time of year. Teams are focused on winning their conference or setting themselves up for favorable matchups and seeding in their conference tournaments. Mid-week college baseball is a crapshoot.

Always nice to beat the Big 10, but Northwestern is BAD. Tough series coming up this weekend against second-place Miami.

Bottom-line WMU beat ANOTHER (pounded the sleazy Spartans earlier this season), team from the bloated, overrated, Pig10. It is always a positive when good triumphs over evil.

They have battled back from a bad conference season start and are 19-19 and 8-8 in conference. According to d1baseball.com, that makes them fifth in the conference.

Huge come from behind win today at Ohio University. 7-6. With 5 games left (all on the road) in conference play, we need some of that late season magic that coach Billy Gernon seems to provide us every year!!!

RE: Baseball
After losing Saturday, Western won today (10-6). Major, Billy Gernon has got Western into the MAC Tournament every year but once since he's been here (2011). I'm not sure we got into the tournament under Randy Ford. Plus, we usually are very competitive in the MAC Tournament.

We finished seventh in MAC (12-13, 23-25 overall), did not qualify for tournament.

No Gernon Magic this spring.
