SIAP:

Even those that cover SEC Country recognize that UCF "won the month of January".

I think a conservative estimate would be $20 million in revenue/exposure for our athletic department from the natty title claim

The more Bama complains, the more they embarrass themselves and legitimize UCF's claim - while putting more money in UCF's back pocket.

That said, down here in Orlando, it is the Gator fans that are the most incensed. I have had Gator fans that I work with basically try to get me fired over it. Especially after I had a banner put up in the warehouse.

As a Cincinnati fan maybe you should buy a few thousand of them and do what they did on WKRP years ago when they had that turkey drop ?

On second thought, maybe that wasn't such a good idea. Then again, t-shirts can "fly" much better than a turkey.

Oh, the humanity, Les Nessman.

EDIT: Hey, hey! I found the full episode right here (for my money, this was the episode that put the show on the map.):

If you get me a Cincinnati Bearcats back-to-back national champions shirt for 61 and 62 then I will wear that one too.

Yep.

Some may have saw this but during the NFL Pro Bowl Game that was held in Orlando (NFL honored UCF's team at the end of the 1st Q break), when that one Bama played asked about wanting to see UCF's trophy....here was the best twitter response ever done by UCF's Punter:

https://twitter.com/macmilk15/status/957799952993935366

"Sorry you’re going to have to elaborate on which trophy you want us to show off. We have our conference championship one (unlike y’all), our divisional one (unlike y’all), the trophy for beating our rival (unlike y’all), and the bowl trophy"

I would like to know where Bama's trophy is from their 1941 claim ? You know the one, right ? The one they claimed AFTER they LOST their freaking bowl game!

It's so easy. Just tell them that they can claim 17 NCs if UCF can claim 1 or they have to remove some of their NCs.

UCF needs to get in contact with UCLA ASAP and schedule a 1-1 2020 (away) and 2021 (home). get some OOC games worthy of a national champ.

It is a bit annoying that the AAC isn't all over the national championship. I mean we went and pushed the P6 campaign. Now we have a team that is been officially declared national champions by newspapers, unbiased computer polls, state governor, bobby bowden, Spurrier, and multiple sports commentators. You would think the additional push only gives us more appeal for a TV deal. Maybe Alabama/SEC fans get so triggered they watch UCF play more?

If I were a UCF fan, I would memorize a script concerning ‘Bama’s listing of a 1941 NC. It will come in handy when SEC lackey’s like Finebaum denigrate UCF’s NC claim without also in the same breath dismissing AL’s 1941 claim.

IMHO, at the AAC football media day this fall, the conference should display something ( banner, placard etc ) that states "UCF 2017 FOOTBALL NATIONAL CHAMPS." As much as it kills me, I have been touting UCF here in Houston. It really riles my Aggie and Longhorn friends, which makes it worth it!

Quick look at the 247 recruiting site and notice that UCF picked up a couple more mid to high 3 star commits, including a 6'3", 330 lbs. DT and high 3 star WR. Of course they did fall behind a little bit when Frost left and took the staff and are playing catch up.

It's hard to recruit when 16/22 starters return. The new staff beefed up the OLs & DLs, you can never have enough of those guys.

Aresco should be pushing it more "if" we are "P6". I don't think he wants to aid in UCF leaving the conference or at least be blamed for it.
