If you want the Trojans back you need to lobby for Cinco Boone at Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. Angelo State is where Chris Beard came from and Cinco was his assistant. They coach exactly the same....!!!!!

Would be the "right thing" to do.....!!!!!

Cinco has been at Angelo State now for 4 years thank you. As Head Coach he is 57-24....!!!

The decision of a coach leaving always begins with his current team, it's up to you to keep'em....!!!!!!

Darrel Walker was a candidate for the LR job when Beard was hired. He landed the head coach job at Clark Atlanta, D2 school. His first season they went 9-20. Last year they were 21-12 (12-5 in conference) with a trip to NCAA D2 tourney. This year they are 18-1 and 12-0 in conference. Walker has connections with the Stephens family and Alice Walton.

If we have an opening, I can get on board with that. Personally, I think having a coach with connections to the State can be a good thing for several reasons. One is that they may not jump at the first job opening they get offered. It is obviously the reason Joe Foley is still here. May not apply to a men's coach, but you never know.

Thought Darrell didn’t have his degree.

I believe I heard he got his degree before he applied last time. Don't know for sure, but that's what I recall.

I'd certainly have no problem with Darrell. He had a great coach at Arkansas, and has no proven himself as a head coach, just as Coach Beard did at the D-2 level. I also know that if a former Hog player could win here, things would perk up. That was the reason I was hopeful Sidney would be successful here. He was very popular here. He was also my favorite player when I was a Hog fan. don't have a thing against Wes other than he evidently can't coach. Sidney did recruit some good players who played well for Porter.

Coach Beard's team beats Texas in overtime 73-71 last night. You know Coach Beard was the difference in that win when it got down to crunch time.

Kansas....??? We're got TCU, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State BEFORE Kansas....!!!! There's a lot of b'ball before we get Kansas again. Tech is currently ranked number 10 with a 18-4 record.
