Keys to the game?
For me GCU should dominate the boards since the Roos are the worst rebounding team in the WAC. If they get a lot of 2nd chance shots then they should win comfortably. Our guards do need to take care of the ball. Benson may be vulnerable. I predict Shaq comes in early and has a big game.

Awful start, but we are dominating the boards so things are looking better. Awesome put back by Frayer! Good to see him very active today.

No Shaq Carr today? Majerle put in Damari to sub for Casey. Hope Carr is okay.

Tell you what. GCU is figuring out how to use these bigs. Ali’s and Roberts’ confidence levels are high. Lever is a beast, and I hope the Lope guards keep feeding him.

Yeah, the guys are crashing the boards and keeping the Roos from any second chance points. It’s a beautiful thing.

I watched NMSU dominate UVU today, and I felt even better about our 11 point loss. I think Canyon is the one team that can beat the Aggies this year. Might not be until Vegas though.

It does help when you are playing teams that are a bit soft in the middle like CSU and UMKC. We shall see how they do next Saturday against UVU.

Yeah. Fair point. But if it builds confidence and gets us some practice going down low first rather than pulling up for three each time, I’m all for it. UVU has that big guy who leads the WAC in blocks. He looked pretty formidable. We will see how they do.

Right now I’m mad that UMKC is on a 7-0 run to start the second half. Our boys went to sleep in the locker room.

Your guys were hanging around late into the game. At one point the Roos were down by four with the ball. I was very worried about the building momentum. Look forward to the next game our teams play in Phoenix.
