ODU's brand as seen from WA state
My buddy captured this photo in Clearwater, WA. That's about 35 miles in the sticks from downtown Seattle.

Needless to say, it's strange that this trailer wound up out here... and brings up another topic of ODU's domestic "brand"

How many of you also want Old Dominion Freight Line to go out of business?
(An employee from Purdue teased me when I said I went to ODU... he said, "Old Dominion Trucking... hahahaha")

Damn.

Could have been part of a distance learning site.

I doubt that a sign would be placed on a trailer like that on campus.

Sadly, I took a look at OD Freight Lines’ financials, and learned that they’re very strong and not going to be merged into a bigger logistics company. They provide a niche service and are the biggest in the country with what they do.

Looks like we’ll all have to live with their stupid trucks for a long time.

Well, considering I start work with ODFL Feb 2nd, I’m glad they’re not going anywhere!

I dont think our university branding is good in the State of Virginia, let alone Washington State.

Why would anyone want that? Old Dominion Freight Line is a great company. Sure the school shares it's name with them, a ****** "country" band and a peanut company and a bunch more. So what? That nickname is older than our nation.

No reason to get butt hurt over somebodies ignorance.

Maybe that's the new press box for the new stadium. :)

Maybe they can help finance the stadium.

Hey, I dont want them to fail... I was preferring that they'd be merged into a bigger logistics company like FedEx or UPS... but those are completely different business models.

Reminds me of something I heard on AM1310 back in the days...
we should call the new arena in downtown Norfolk, "Purnell Arena"
For Pernell Sweet Pea Whitaker and Oliver Purnell. Yeah, they're spelled differently, but still...

I love seeing things on the radio.02-13-banana
