I'm going to make the most of this one. Blue room, game, post-game dinner at Byrd and Baldwin and then end with a visit to Grain before ubering home. Should be a great night.

So a voice of reason reminds you of Republicans? Cool I like it!
Thanks for the memories. My wife and I had season tickets and were at the game (as always). Our seats were on the same side as the camera and nearer to the baseline where Petey hit the three in the video you posted. I remember that like it happened last week. Sure do miss some of those guys ... Odell, Petey, Mike Jones, David Harvey, etc.
Edit: We always got there early and parked in the parking garage attached to Scope. We parked on the top floor if we could, or 2nd floor and walked up one flight of steps to get into the arena if we couldn't.

Nice. Byrd and Balwin is a favorite of ours, but only can go there for the rare occasion. Everything is delicious, but I assume you already knew that. Enjoy

Absolutely. It's a gem. If you havent been to Grain yet, it's definitely worth a visit. Can get crazy busy on weekends though.

Beer and wine will be sold throughout the venue on Friday.
Oh dear, that may be scary!
Here's a Scope memory teaser for old timer Norfolk residents....Dances in the Scope basement. All the spilled alcohol made a gray goo (from the painted concrete floors) that stained your shoes and legs. Hard to explain to parents when you got home! I actually met my husband on a blind date at one of those dances. Charlie McClendon and the Magnificent, Bob Marshall and the Crystals.....
scary is right. I plan on being pretty greased up for this one, with a couple hours out on granby pre-game, and beers during game, it's gonna be a great night. Hope we punch the spartans square in the mouth.
I started this thread but wasn't complaining. Just stated we were disappointed. As for fixing this, if this is a true neutral site game and not canabalizing a home game I'm ok with it. If this is a home game for us, I would say ODU should get the best seating options and visitors get what's left just like they do at the Ted and FF.
And if the capacity of the suites fills the lower level at Scope, we may be in the best seats based on our ODAF standings. But I'm pretty sure that only.some of the suites are season ticket holders and the rest are sold during the year.

Good on you. I will be ready for bed 30 mins after the game.

I think actually all of our suites were sold before the season started except for one. That is what I was told by ODAF.

If we are to make this a neutral site game and be fair to both fanbases, I think it would be difficult to put every ODU fan where they usually sit at the TED. For every mid-court section, halfway up, middle seat, there are two of those (one on each side). So you are not able to accommodate both. Multiply that by the 4000 ish season ticket holders we have... and yeah. Pretty impossible to accommodate everybody. So what would you do differently, how would you go about sitting everyone to keep everyone happy - while also remembering there is another fanbase there?
Don't play a neutral site game in a crappy arena that is a couple miles from our beautiful arena against a team from the MEAC
XACLY.
I'll be missing this one. Not by choice, but being dragged to a dinner party. Hope it is an uneventful, easy win.

The game can also be played at a closer beautiful campus closer to the scope, cause it's not feeling like your AD cared about it being a home game at all...

Frankly, I would be happier playing it at NSU. At least Echols has some atmosphere, and it would be LOUD . It would make for an exciting game.
This really shouldn't be that difficult. If we want this to be an annual tradition, it should be a home game for us some years and for NSU on others. Maybe even a two for one, and whoever is home should get to choose their bench and side of the arena. Make it an annual event for Norfolk. I sure as heck would rather play NSU than UMES or any other MEAC school now that Hampton is leaving.
This is a game that could sell out Scope every year if done properly. Here's to a great game and a Monarch win!
