Only going to get worse if we keep losing.

It will be open seating for the next game. People are just not going to come see a losing team. Our tailgate lot was half empty yesterday. It was packed full for the first game.

I imagine we will have our worst ever announced attendance next week. Did sell enough season tickets to pad the attendance as much as in the past. I would guess actual attendance will be 14,500 for WKU.

The blue lot was packed. Probably moreso than first game and best I've seen it in years.

all in all, I like the stadium. Bathrooms being small and having one door is probably the biggest complaint aside from the $5 water (I rarely buy any consessions so no comment there).

Seems to me that they overcorrected on the sound system this week. At times I thought it was too quite and they definitely didn't play as much music during breaks. During the Norfolk state game I recall feeling some bass and being impressed. Was just kinda blah this week.

RE: NEW stadium construction
I always walk around the stadium prior to the game and head to the NEZ across the bleachers to check out the size of the opponent during warmups. Yesterday was the first time that I was ever stopped by "security" and asked for a ticket prior to entering the NEZ bleachers. I told the gentleman that I was sitting on the East side, which is the side I was entering the NEZ bleachers from and he would not let me cross. I didn't press the issue, but this was stupid. WTH?

My wife went to buy water since the concessions on the 3rd and 2nd floor didn't take credit when she tried to return she was given a hard time because she didn't have her ticket stub on her and had to call me to bring the stub to the person in baby blue with a walkie talkie to confirm she was seating in the right seat the person stood there for a good ten minutes until a person a few rows behind us asked them to move because they were blocking their view of the pregame.

This BS must stop. Dr. Chandler....help

Only one other issue with these clowns was last year when we beat VT. I went out onto the field, but after the initial wave. I took a picture of the scoreboard and was exiting the field when I saw X. I stopped to take his picture and this jackleg security guy put his face in my camera to ruin my shot and told me to exit the field. Now remember I stated that I was on my way off, way down on the North end, no where near where the crowd was a mid field. I was a little hot, but only said a few words to the guy and then exited the field, which i was already doing but he was interested in me instead of the other 500 people dancing at mid field. What a total douche.

RE: NEW stadium construction
I think it is two things: helping alleviate traffic flow issues (Norfolk state game people we're piled up in the entrance ways just standing there). Some people couldn't even see the field. Secondly when I got to my seats 4 students were just sitting there like they owned the place. 2 friends left to get food and i was probably asked by 10 people if the seats were open.... it was a pain in the ass.

People we were with went to buy concessions, but there wasn't a good enough wifi signal to use the credit card machine. They didn't have any cash so they weren't able to get anything. To me, the stadium should have a separate, secure wifi system for the vendors/concessions to keep that from happening. The game was bad and people needed to eat their grumpy feelings.

RE: NEW stadium construction
I don’t live far from the stadium, so I ride my bike to avoid traffic. Not sure how many others do this. But I ran into a problem trying to lock my bike up at the NW corner bike rack. It seems they decided to turn that into a smoking area and put a temporary fence around the bike rack. The only access to the bike rack is from inside the gate. I asked the security guard how I was supposed to get my bike to the bike rack and he told me I had to bring it through the gate. When I went to the gate they told me I couldn’t bring my bike in. After some back and forth they admitted they weren’t told what to do about getting bikes to the bike rack so they let us in and escorted us with our bikes to the bike rack. I then proceeded to lock up the bikes among a few people wafting their cigarette smoke around. Not sure what they are going to do this Saturday but if it is still a smoking area I’m going to choose a different bike rack.

BTW, for those complaining about bathrooms, if you don’t mind walking over to the NEZ the porta potties over there are practically unused. I usually walk all around the stadium at half time and it seems like there are other small bathrooms tucked away in corners that are underutilized. And as for water, my friend brought in unopened bottles in his clear bag with no problem. He stuck them in the freezer beforehand so they would stay cold longer. Just don’t leave them in there too long or they could burst. I might try that this Saturday.

We ride our bikes as well. We normally just lock our bike the the fence at the park on the other side of bluestone.

Thanks for the suggestion. We used to lock them up to a light pole just outside the old west entrance which is now gone. There is another bike rack just south of the main west entrance.

When I ride to games, I usually lock up at the bike racks on Kaufmann (there's a couple behind Constant Hall). But if I ride to any games this year, I'll be locking up at the new ones they installed in front of the West side.

Seems to me that they overcorrected on the sound system this week. At times I thought it was too quite and they definitely didn't play as much music during breaks. During the Norfolk state game I recall feeling some bass and being impressed. Was just kinda blah this week.

I sit in E204 and can't hear the band at all. Walked around the stadium and the band was loud on the home side.

Still love the videoboard and ribbons. Lightshow was awesome. Seems like the amount of in-game advertising has increased .... But whatever. Howitzer was back and awesome.

I agree about the band. For whatever reason I can hear the fine at the top of 116 when they are on the field, but when they are in the stands directly across I cannot hear them. Perhaps they need to be out in the open where they used to be.....North End Zone

Overall experience is very positive for me. Would love to see some winning on the field though.

Tomorrow's forecast looks a cloudy. According to the renderings, we were promised partly cloudy so put that on the list. 03-banghead
