The “Ends” in Trask on the floor, just behind the basket. WHat the heck is the Athletic Dept doing there? That is a PERFECT spot for rowdy students to help the team. I don’t understand it. I turn on any other basketball game around the country and those spots are full of students, signs, and other student creativity to throw the opponents off their game. Contrast that to Trask Coliseum where it seems our AD is no longer interested in getting Trask back to “the toughest place to play in the CAA” by scattering a few grandmothers around largely empty bleachers right behind the buckets.
Make Trask Great Again.

CG I agree with you, but where do you propose we seat the wheelchair bound people? I was appalled that before this year we had no place for them. It's pretty bad that handicapped seating is an afterthought.
When my grandad was in a wheelchair they put him courtside by the boosters across from the team bench. Aside from not having an easily accessible elevator, the department does a FANTASTIC job with handicap and elderly persons
Yeah. You could literally wheel them anywhere around the court. I seem to remember when I was a student and the entire bleachers opposite the benches were full of students they would put them on the opposite sides behind the players. I just think it’s ridiculous that we waste so much important space, space that does have an impact on the game.

A lot to digest from this weekend and a lot to talk about coming up. We'd love to entertain your questions. Michael and I will be taping in the morning so get your inquiries in now.

What is your take on the lineup changes? Gadsden looks like he should stay in the starting five. I’m not as sold on Estime. If Gadsden stays, should he replace Fornes or Ty Taylor going forward, assuming one of those gets back in?

RE: Latest Episode of "The Beat and the Beard" UNCW sports podcast
Without asking you to throw anyone under the bus, can you guys comment on the reasons for the inconsistent play?
By that I mean the team has seemed to show up playing hard as a "team" in some instances (2nd half Arkansas State, both halves of Eastern Illinois), and not at all in other instances (Garner Webb).
Coach McGrath has implicitly or explicitly attributed it to players not executing/playing as a team and/or the possible need for lineup changes. However, it has also appeared to many (including BT Toews, it seems) that sometimes the issue is partially due to the coach has been unwilling to adjust his game plan to meet the realities on the court (ie, implictly questioning the 2nd year head Coach's courtside coaching development).
Also, after 9 games (including exhibitions), how much is due to this relatively new assembly of players still getting to know each other?

Ok.
The Seahawks seem to be getting better in all kinds of ways.
However, reducing the number of points scored doesn't seem to be one of them. As I type, UNCW is # 291 out of 351 DI schools in scoring defense.... and that is before Davidson's points cored are averaged in, which will make ppg scored against UNCW even higher.
At times, opponent seem to be able to drive to the basket at will, and our 3 pt scoring defense is in the bottom half of DI to boot.
What will it take for UNCW's defense to get that under control? And what are UNCW's CAA chances if we don't?

^^^^^ This! And further, if CB continues to struggle with teaching D techniques, is it possible we fill that open coaching role with a "defensive specialist"?

Question for next time. Are there any schools like ECU and Campbell that will be on the schedule on a regular basis. I would love to see this series with Davidson continue
