I wouldn't

I have a good friend who's son played for Illinois and played several years in Turkey. He had a good experience and avoided taxes. Turkey may have some negative situations, but basketball there is big and they treat the American players well.

If you are an American citizen, you still have to pay income taxes to the US though I am pretty sure.

If he lives in the US in the offseason, probably. If he completely moves overseas (and spends 330 days there), then I believe he is exempt.

I’d pay taxes to avoid 330 days a year in Turkey.

Not a great game from Marcus (10pts),but Armored Athlete survives and advances to the next round.

http://thetournament.com/news/4-armored-...-nation-73

They move on to face the NE bracket #1 seed Syracuse alumni team this next Saturday at 1pm. I believe the games from here on are televised on ESPN network channels.

Interesting game ending method used in the Tournament called the "Elam Ending". Clock turns off at 1st deadball under the 4 minute mark. 1st team to reach the leading teams score + 7 wins. Eliminates the intentional fouls needed to stop the clock and every game ends on a made bucket.

Wow, he played 32 minutes but, yeah, he will want to shoot better next game. 2-9 from the three.

Everyone on the their team, with the exception of Julian Gamble, looked bad in the game. Marcus forced up a lot of low percentage shots.

Still have to pay no matter how long you are abroad, but your first 108k or so is exempt.

Pretty darn good...three guys from last season's team, one not even a starter, have signed professional contracts.

The fact that 2 of the 3 don't count as "U.S." players helps.

Same top french Pro A league as Terry and his Le Mans team. That will make for an interesting matchup.

@austin_spurs: Welcome to the Austin Spurs, Connor Burchfield! Fun fact: @C_Burchfield10 led the @NCAA in 3 point field goal percentage last season! https://twitter.com/austin_spurs/status/...17/photo/1

Big Congrats to Connor on signing with the reigning NBA G League champions! Go get em!

Way to work so hard to achieve your dream! Keep knocking them down!

Big props to our coaching staff as well for developing yet another pro basketball player.
