Week 6 Ratings
1. Marshall — it’s been a long time since I could honestly put the Herd in the top slot. There’s plenty of time for us to screw up, but at least for now...
2. FAU, UNT, USM, UTSA — four car pileup for 2nd place
6. LT — most schizo team in the league.
7. MTSU — still not sure what to make of them
8. UAB — did Blazer football really sit on the shelf for 1,000 days? I’m starting to think I just imagined that
9. WKU — Toppers beat UTEP by 1 point. Congrats... I guess.
10. ODU — smacked down hard by Florida Atlantic. Ouch.
11. FIU — the easy wins are now past. Painful losses dead ahead.
12. Rice — the nightmare continues
13. UTEP — A slight pulse detected...
14. UNCC — a huge leap backwards since last year. Judy must be so proud

I would move ODU to 14 or may be 13 just because Charlotte's offense seems to be worse than ours.

RE: Week 6 Ratings
I see no reason that Marshall should be at the top of this list. Their performance last night was not impressive and I’ve seen nothing to show that they’re any better than FAU or UNT. Also, FAU is 2-0 in CUSA, while Marshall is 1-0 and that one win was not pretty. Marshall may be the best in CUSA, but so far, there is zero evidence to show that.

Why do people always question how someone else CHOOSES to list the order...
This is "FAN" choice and there is no right or wrong and if you don't like it. List the teams in the order you want.

prob bc he figures utsa may beat UNT next week and all three will be "tied". it really is hard to see a big separation between them. FAU included. even after the USM win, i feel like we are #4 or 5 after the UNT debacle and future with Keon at QB and our coaching decisions.

We have 4 FBS wins.
MTSU has 3, nobody else has more than 2
Hmmm, Maybe I have the Raiders too low...

I didn't do the ranking in question, but first, I think every team in C-USA has its warts this year. But I do think a case for Marshall could be made...
1.) Marshall has far and away the best defense in the league this year.
2.) Marshall gave NC State a better fight than any ACC team has - including Louisville and Florida State.
3.) Marshall doesn't really have a headscratcher result on its resume this year. If you want to count the Charlotte game, then one is saying that Marshall dropped or fluttered away so many opportunities that it still had a two score win at a conference opponent as its worst result of the year.
At the end, Marshall has shown the highest ceiling, but its offensive inconsistencies and issues running the ball are why the Herd hasn't necessarily separated from the pack. At this point, I do feel like Marshall should head into the FAU game at 7-1. (though MTSU is giving a good fight with all their injuries).

Remember that thread that said ODU had the best DLine in the conference. Will since that thread ODU has give up the following:
UNC 511 yards 53 points
VA Tech 582 yards 38 points
FAU 550 yards 58 points
Since then ODU has been outscored 139 to 51.

I imagine we'll be seeing fewer ODU fans around here for a bit. I, for one, bought what they were selling - which I now see was just a bill of goods

You're probably right.
Meaning that our posting activity will now only quintuple that of UNT.

You are way too generous. LA Tech should NOT be ranked higher than #11. Skip has lost this team. They are soft and undisciplined.
