If you enjoy wine, Matthew Rys is in season 1 of The Wine Show...travels around Italy learning the difference between a super Tuscan & a fiasco of Chianti. Entertaining, & a good reason to drink while watching Hulu.

I was glad to see Godless receive some emmys. Jeff Daniels was fantastic.

I watched the first episode of Manic last night. Very weird and I'm not sure I gathered all in. I think I will need to watch it again. The reviews rave about it with words like genius.

Better Call Saul has two episodes left and I will miss it until the next season.

Better Call Saul is one of my favorites, much better than I anticipated.

Season 5 has already been scheduled. I can’t wait!

Could be the best show ever. I couldn't get thru the first episode. So I'll never know. I started it 4 different times and lost interest by 15 minutes in every time and had no idea what was going on.

Season 2 of Ozark dropped recently and binged it in a few days. It's even better than season 1 imo

The Good Place, one of the few network sitcoms actually worth a damn returns tomorrow night.

Michael Schur: The Office writer, producer, actor(Mose Schrute);Parks & Rec co-creator, director, writer producer; Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator, director, writer; is the sole creator, writer and director of The Good Place and I think from this point, two seasons in, it is a more cohesive and complete show than any of the aforementioned shows, all of which I love, were after two seasons. Ted Danson(emmy nom) and Kristen Bell headline.

The first two seasons are both on Netflix; unlike the other show, it is strictly serial, you need to watch every episode in order, season three starts tomorrow night.

The first episode had a lot of exposition to cut through, so not as many laughs. It should pick up starting tomorrow night. I can't get enough of that show.

On the last episode of Maniac. Trippy dark comedies are my thing.

Sorry that you couldn’t get into it. It’s Amazon’s longest running show. Season 1 has a fan rating of 4 out of 5 stars. All other seasons are rated 4.5 out of 5.

I always give a new show a minimum of three episodes before I give up on it. That’s kept me from missing really good shows on at least two occasions.

I usually do that, too. I just kept losing my place and gave up. I really like that guy from Deadwood and Lost, too. I've been watching Mr InBetween on FX after the Mayans. That show is pretty damn great. Funny in a twisted way. 2 half hour episodes back to back. The main guy in the show does what most of us would like to do most of the time. Check it out if you haven't already.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

On Netflix
An anthology film comprised of six stories, each dealing with a different aspect of life in the Old West.
Directors: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
Writers: Joel Coen, Ethan Coen | 2 more credits »
Stars: Tim Blake Nelson, Willie Watson, Clancy Brown

First vignette is absolutely hilarious.

I watched it yesterday. Better done than most things you’ll find streaming anywhere. As a young guy recently married with free HBO for awhile I stumbled across ‘Blood Simple’ on a late night playing. Of course I had to VHS record it and probably still have it somewhere in the attic. That was my introduction to the Coen Brothers. It was like nothing I’d ever seen before and they have rarely disappointed since.

The first vignette was downright whimsical. The Coen brothers have a recurring group they use and every single one of them nails what they want out of them.

Killing Eve is a great show. Surprised it’s not mentioned in thee last few pages. The main character plays an incredible psycho. She is downright scary to me.

I'm watching Deadwood for the third time. I sure wish they would have finished it. No quotes here for fear of being banned. For the third viewing EB Farnum was an amazing show of acting.

I just finished Deadwood for the first time a couple of days ago. I read somewhere that they were making a movie to finish the story but don't know if that was just a rumor.

Ran across a show yesterday that was worth mentioning. Its on Hulu. Its called "11-22-63". Its a time travel mini-series where the protagonist is going back in time to try stop the Kennedy assassination. Ive only watched the fist two episodes---but its very good so far. A couple of things worth noting---this is a show that is a collaboration between Steven King and JJ Abrams--based on a book by King. The second thing that I really like so far---this show has put a different spin on the time travel genre that makes it much more eerie and dark. This is a Hulu original production and they actually placed a few pretty recognizable faces on the cast (James Franco, Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel--among others). Definitely worth a watch.

I read the book a few years back and loved it. I tried watching the series on Hulu when it came out (which was over a year ago?). I just couldn't get past the first few episodes for some reason. But my recommendation if you like the series is to read Stephen King's book.
