RE: What La Tech Fans are saying
And here will be UAB fans excuses should they lose.

1. Mark Ingram did something
2. The referees
3. My baby couldn't get in free, so the crying caused the team to lose concentration.
4. Watson Brown
5. Coach Clark would have coached better if he was paid more
6. Stadium certificates controversy distracted the team
7. One of the referees looked like Mark Ingram
8. Ray Watts gave a pregame pep talk and the team thought football was gone again
9. The referees
10. The greatest running back ever according to his cousin, who you know actually played the game for the sainted Danny Ford and is not just a fan because fans don't know anything about the game, was suspended.

My recall is that Robinson (of Duck Dynasty fame) was their QB in 1965 and Bradshaw was the starting QB in 1966. He was supported by a RB who also played in the NFL for a few years. Together they ran and passed the Bama defense ragged for a lot of midfield yardage but only scored once.

No doubt it's easy for the details to get a little fuzzy after 50+ years, but let me clarify some of the facts for you.

The only time Alabama played La. Tech in the 1960's was 1966, and they won 34-0. Bradshaw was a freshman in 1966, and therefore was not eligible, and did't play.

He didn't start in 1967 either, for that matter; Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame did. Bradshaw was a starter his junior and senior years, in 1968 and 1969, and was the first player selected in the NFL draft in the spring of 1970.

All that said, it probably wouldn't be appropriate to invite him back to celebrate a game he probably listened to on the radio back in Ruston.

RE: What La Tech Fans are saying
Never mind the Terry Bradshaw aspect, why would UAB celebrate ANY game that Alabama played in 1966?

WHY would we even want to invite THEIR alumni and honor them during OUR HOMECOMING? I'm figuring it was tongue in cheek....

Lol. What's great about that list is that some of those excuses can carry over to the basketball season.

Here's what La Tech fans are saying now. #1 on Attalla's list has been used:

"Wow. CUAB refs is right. Conference must need them to win some games this year..."

"HAHAHAHA I'm telling you guys, the refs are not letting us win this one."

I remember their fans chanting "We have football". Yep. So do we and we just broke your pompous arrogant hearts.

1 will be the CUAB Officiating.
2 Will be the stadium falling in on itself.
3. Stadium in bad neighborhood. Their fans afraid to come.
4. Lack of flights between Shreveport and Monroe to Birmingham.
5. No train service
6. No bus service.
7. Someone told their fans he wrong game time and they missed it.
8. Legion Field hot dogs poisoned their team.
9. It's Phil Robertson's fault.
10. Trump's fault.

They can't use #10 (their state voted for him), #6 (Blazer Express was on top of it, I passed 3 of them on the interstate on my way to LF before the game), #3 (from what I've heard about Ruston, they can't talk about Birmingham), #7 (if they're that gullible, that's their fault), & definitely not #1! (they did everything possible to give that game to LT, and if they'd called something against UAB after that blocked FG...???)...

Obviously has no clue to what "targeting" is. Or holding. They were letting LT get away with assault out there.
