Meh, a 3.5 hour flight vs a 1.5 hour flight. Does it really make that much of a difference?

I think the traveling is much harder in CUSA because of the back to back games. Example, travel to Marshall for Thursday night then travel immediately to WKU for Saturday. Travel to MTSU then immediately to For Saturday. There is a loss waiting to happen in those travel games. Even North Texas to Rice is just an upset in the making in those travel games.

ODU use to play a lot of Wednesday/Saturday games in the CAA vice the Thursday/Saturday games in C-USA. There wasn't the need for travel partners. Also most of the games were via bus instead of going through airports.

North Texas has the weirdest schedule. I’m not quite sure what to make of it. Eureka, UT Rio Grande (they lost), Rogers State, Grambling, Bethune Cookman. Then, throw in Nebraska, GA Tech, and Georgetown.

The more college basketball I watch this week, the more I appreciate how well we defend. There are a lot of talented teams that simply do not play defense.

Really enjoyed watching vcu fall to Michigan. It’s always a good day when they lose!

Commentator on the Rice vs Ole Miss game right now said that Cashaw of Rice reminded him of Bryant Stith.

RE: 2017 basketball
Maybe we should start an "RPI employee" thread but I'm just going to post some updates here

Towson beat Ga Southern. The eagles were 5-0 before this loss with wins over Wake Forest and Missouri St. Theyve had quite the turn around. Their new coach went to the same school as me. Mark Byington, he was a semior in hs when I was a freshman, in my older brothers class. We had a State Championship run that year, I think he played for UNCW. For these reasons I'm wishing them well and I think this will be a good win for Towson and Towson a good win for us.

JMU beat App St. It's the least they could do. First win of the season for the Dukes.

Indiana State beat a Div II team. There only other win this season is Indiana.

Dayton hasnt played since we played them

Temple won the Charleston Classic Tournament

May I say **** Richmond? They're 1-4 and on the way to just a miserable season. But their one win comes against UAB, so they hurt ODU when they lose AND in that rare and precious unicorn of a moment when they manage to not lose.

Congrats! I haven't seen you guys play this year but from what you guys were bringing back I would have penciled you in at the top of the conference in preseason. MT lost some big names from last year but I've watched some of thier games and they're pretty good. Nick King is a silent killer, 100% from the FT line so far this season. He's the real deal but I don't think he can replace both Williams and Upshaw. Right now LT, MT & ODU are emerging as the top tier. UAB and UTEP have some disappointing results so far but still too much talent to dismiss. Nothing worse than a dangerous team with bad RPI.

Tech will be mostly the same next year as we only have one senior

Rio Grande, looks like they might not be that bad, oddly enough. They only lost by 10 to Georgia Tech tonight.

Haha we blew that. To think in our last two hiring processes we had an opportunity to hire Kevin Keatts and Gregg Marshall and didn't. OOPS.
