I do feel sorry for you all though with such ineptitude in the athletic dept.
No, what is hilarious is the fact that we beat you in our first true year of FBS football. Your team had zero excuse for that to happen. Regardless of what happens next week, at best you will only be 2-1 against a brand new program. Congrats, very impressive.
And over the years, that 2 will grow and grow... and you'll be living in the memory of what UNCC did 20, 30, 40 years prior.... and you'll always be a delusional fan of a wannabe FBS team...
At some point, Judy Rose will have to retire, and hopefully the suckage will stop. Charlotte has too much potential to stay down for too long. Once the bad eggs are out, things will start trending up again. We're all hoping that happens sooner rather than later so we can stop the bleeding.
That was my original point. Until something changes, you're doomed to, well....this. I hope it does turn around for you...but you have to clean house...
Good grief some of you guys are.going so overboard. We have played one season of official FBS football. We went 3-5 in conference. We were not bad. We lost some good players (3 on NFL rosters right now lost from that team). Yes, we look bad RIGHT NOW, but we haven't even started league play. These can change. We started 1-4 last year and looked terrible. We then proceeded to win 3 of our next 4 conference games. Point is, let's at least get a few more games played before you tell us how bad we are going to be. Even if we do go 0-12 or 1-11 or whatever, we won't be the first to ever do it and it doesn't mean it will become the norm. You guys just told us how Marshall's crappy season was a fluke last year. Ours may be as well. Our team is very young this season. Players get better by playing but there can be growing pains. That's what we are going through right now.

Now THAT is a fair point. That's why we play the games, right PSC? I hope you right the ship. But until the fat is trimmed... that's all I was saying
How many players of these classes have you redshirted on your move up? I'll never make fun of a team moving up as the losses pile up as I witnessed over 25+ losses in a row.
David Elson was our coach during the move up. He had been told redshirt everyone you recruit and we won't worry about losses. We're going to build the right way. That was true until he lost so many in a row. Then they fired him mid season and brought in Willie Taggart.
Willie made us the west Florida Hilltoppers raiding his old high school playing grounds with a lot of fresh young talent. He played several true freshmen his first year. But he also had a lot of David Elson's kids that had redshirted and got bigger and stronger. Some really good O-Linemen and some pretty damn good other players like Jack Doyle and Bobby Rainey.
I really believe redshirting all those classes helped us in the long run. Right now most of our players have a redshirt year. Helps the most in your strength positions but a year of getting your academics in order and hitting weights never hurts a kid in my opinion.
This year our new coach is playing quite a few of his true freshmen. Some of it's necessity and I believe some of it is new guy wanting to play guys that have bought into him fully where maybe some of the Brohm holdovers are thinking "that's not how we should be doing this" but I can't say that for sure.
I've seen schools as good as Bammer use true freshmen in a skill position like RB or WR so I'm not too concerned about Sanford using some of these guys. His call. Sorry for the too long post for a simple question but all I have to go off is what I've seen here. And our losing streak was way longer than any Charlotte has gone through.
What we had though was a president and an AD that couldn't stomach the losses of a guy in over his head even though he'd been told the losses wouldn't matter. Not sure you have that after reading what you say about your AD.

Lambert is in the redshirt school of thought. He coached under Jim Grobe at Wake Forest when they won the ACC in 2006 using a lot of 5th year seniors. How many schools want to model themselves after Wake Forest? I don’t think we are redshirting as many players now as we were in our two FCS seasons.
Lambert needs to go. He is in over his head and even if guys stay 5 years they are still making boneheaded mistakes.
