Indiana to play Charleston Southern on Oct. 7 to replace canceled game against FIU

Quote:The Hoosiers announced on Tuesday that they will play at home against FCS Charleston Southern on Oct. 7. The game replaces the Sept. 16 home game against Florida International that was canceled because of Hurricane Irma.

Indiana had a bye week on Oct. 7, so the Hoosiers had room to add a 12th game to the regular-season schedule even with the Florida International game cancellation.

“IU Athletics continues to send our thoughts and prayers to Florida International University and all those impacted by Hurricane Irma,” Indiana athletics said in the official release.

According to the release, the kickoff time and contract details will be announced at a later date.
