Week 3 Big Ten/college football Thoughts/Game Thread
Figured I would start this out early so it is going. Any thoughts as we go into week 3?
Note: This is not the pick'em thread. I just figured I would start talk for the week with a list of match-ups. Noticed a few people highlighting so just want to be sure that is clear.
Big Ten match-ups:
Illinois @ #22 South Florida (-17) (Friday)
Army @ #8 Ohio State (-29.5)
Air Force @ #7 Michigan (-26)
Northern Illinois @ Nebraska (-14)
Morgan State @ Rutgers
North Texas @ Iowa (-24)
Middle Tennessee @ Minnesota (-8.5)
#10 Wisconsin (-13) @ BYU
Florida International @ Indiana (-25.5)
Purdue @ Missouri (-7.5)
Georgia State @ #5 Penn State (-6.5)
Bowling Green @ Northwestern (-22)

All things being equal, I really don't see anyone losing this weekend aside from Illinois.
Potential upsets? MAYBE BYU (If the Badgers completely meltdown) and Middle Tennessee, other than that, it seems like a good week for the B1G.

Middle Tennessee went on the road and beat Cuse and probably are the best in CUSA so i'm calling the upset this week.

RE: Week 3 Big Ten/college football Thoughts/Game Thread
Few first thoughts:
1. Illinois seems somewhat under rated here to me. I'll acknowledge my opinion of their strength this year is not very high, but they just beat a Western Kentucky team pretty handily who was favored over them and South Florida did not look that good in their one game. Don't get me wrong; I'm not picking the Illini, but think they stand a better chance then given.
2. Big week for Purdue. They have been impressive in both their first two weeks. If they pull this off, it might be time to actually thinking of them being at least competitive in the division
3. Wisconsin has won easily, but unconvincingly. BYU hasn't started the year great, but this might be a better indicator of where the Badgers go the rest of the way.
4. Not nearly as many good games this week.
