AM, 65 points, now that is a points spread. I'm guessing this will be an opportunity for backup QBs to get some reps rather than 65 points.

Keep in mind that Morehead State plays in the non-scholarship Pioneer League. We may stumble to 65 points without trying.

I do however expect a Post-Baylor letdown that leads to a slow start on Saturday.

MSU keeps it respectable at half but depth shows in the second half. Something like this is what I expect.

On a side note, many Coastal fans are continuing their bash of LU on the SBC site from a SBC fan who made posted "Did we make a mistake", not inviting LU. As expected it brought out the naysayers, especially the Beach Chickens.

For there first FBS home game against UMass saturday, attendance was 13274 and here's the mention from the teams website:

"The game Saturday evening was played before a CCU-record 13,274. The win was also CCU's first over an FBS program, going 0-7 in such games in this the 15th year of Chanticleer football."

LU is almost certain to exceed 20k, set a new attendance record, against Morehead State.

A Sea Of Red picked a 59-10 win.

Sounds about right. Not expecting a close one.

A quick view of your schedule this year shows many games against Pioneer league teams. You'll probably win most of them, but any loss to a non-scholarship school is bad. I guess that could be a strategy, schedule a couple P5's early for the publicity, then play the bulk of your games against as weak a schedule as possible so you still have a few wins.

I was quite surprised with the low attendance.....
..... and so many personal foul penalties.

I saw the attendance was over 17,000 which I wouldn't label as low. Morehead State probably brought nobody and the fans didn't feel like watching a slaughter. I think it was above our average for the last few years.

Good job team! On to Indiana State.

True, it was "low" only based on my expectations. I figured, first home game, coming off historic big win = 20,000.
