Shotgun start is they divide the field and teams start at different holes on the course- then play their 18 holes- just not neccesarily Hole 1 to hole 18... could start at hole 5 and the 18th and last hole of the round would be hole 4 etc- aloows all teams to start at same time usually due to weather concerns/timing... Go Flashes...

And now play is suspended due to lightning. That means minimum 45 min to an hour before they can restart.

Somebody tell me if I'm reading this wrong.

Up by 2 with a lightning delay.

* Kent's totally in except for Sveinberggson who has to play the 2nd, BUT no matter what he does, Kent will not end up worse than 20 under.

* Arizona's at 18 under with 4 players with one hole to go, but Guan has to shoot an eagle to make a difference, leaving really 2 of the 3 players left on the course to get birdie to force a playoff with Kent.

That’s pretty much. Arizona needs to go at least two under within last 3 players. What a bummer to now have to wait an hour minimum.

Yeah, Arizona has 3 players with one hole each. Two of them are at -3 and the other is -2. They need two guys to get to -4 to tie. Our score is final.

Yep. Four rounds and then 8-team elimination tourney.

I was just able to sign on and see we made it. Thank goodness CSU fell apart. When I left for my meeting I was so disappointed. Crazy how so many teams went so low today but we weren't able to. 1st two days really made all the difference. On to Nationals.

Women's golf was one of 2 non P5 teams to advance.
Men's golf was one of 6 non P5 teams to advance.

Only non P5 to have both men and women qualify for the NCAA Championships.

That is one helluva picture. How long has graduation been at Dix? I graduated in the MAC Center.

I graduated at Dix decades ago.

It wasn’t the first year—as I said, I graduated in the stadium back in the early 70’s. I don’t know when they switched to the MACC, or even if they have switched back and forth over the years.

Last year was the first at Dix in many years. It’s part of “One University” graduation that’s supposed to include regional campuses, allow big-name speakers, and raise ksu’s profile.

They’re expensive — last year’s cost several hundred thousand dollars, the Stater reported.

Which seems like a colossal waste of money since no one comes to graduation to hear the 'big-name speaker' but instead to celebrate the accomplishment of someone they care about.

Well I guess the question would be how much do they normally otherwise cost and recall you would need to compare it to having all the graduations costs for all the campuses totaled together since this version does all of them at once.

I have no idea how it compares just saying that is what would need to compare to see if the costs are very different.

To be clear, I'm talking about the graduation speaker, not the cost of holding a graduation...
