Yeah, if we know JJ, that's not going to happen. Wonder who fed him that info. If I understand his position, he would be coming in as a SG. This would put him behind Green and Godwin, and from what I've seen on these boards with people that have a more direct connection to the program, Godwin has been killing it in the off season. So if he excels this year, I doubt he'd play right away. Wonder who fed him that info.

With Davis, good company in top 3 (2 big east schools). He seems to be right in the range, recruiting wise, of Godwin. Has he visited us yet? If not, I would think we would be out.

Mading is a skinny forward, kinda like a taller Reece. Playing style reminds me of Durant.

Young would be a heckuva pull.

Bucknell and us seem to be favorites for Acunzo at this point.

I thought academic logos were supposed to be dignified. That looks like it got ripped off the uniform of a third-division Latvian football club.

757 SF Michael Christmas, has gotten down to two schools after dropping a couple of A10 schools including VCU, Rhode Island and St Louis. Hometown heroes are always fan favorites, would be a great get and solid addition to the Monarchs.

Christmas has been trained by Mike Williams in the past. Played at the highest level of AAU basketball. He is a highly rated player that played tough competition and has D1 athleticism and body. He would likely play the 3 spot and has the basic basketball tools to do that. He has a tremendous upside to be a very good basketball player.

I guess we will see first hand if that new JMU facility is about to start paying off

Very good recruit that I would love to commit. Program changer is a bit strong; mayne for JMU.

Correct...he currently is not a program changer. However, knowing his capabilities pretty well, like I said above he has the basic tool and a tremendous upside. I believe if he develops he can be one of those players that is very special for ODU.

Looks like Christmas has already had his official visit to ODU. Goes to JMU next week. I wish he would have canceled the JMU visit and committed to ODU on the spot. Its easy to get caught up in hype, and I think getting the last visit is advantageous. Hopefully our history, program quality, coaching, talent of teammates and proximity to home win him over and we see him in a Monarch uniform.

Seems like we are in the short mix for several guys. Christmas would likely be toward the top of that list so I would hope he would commit quickly.

Also the fact that we whipped JMU ass handily last year. Also, they had a huge Freshman class last year so PT might be limited for the next couple of years. Plus Christmas knows several members of ODU's team and can see how he can fit into our system. CUSA has much more exposure than the CAA.
