According to everywhere else he wasn't. Nothing on scout, verbal commits, twitter or google. But once again if it helps you sleep at night. I think instead you should be worrying about a certain kid from Mississippi that averaged 36 points per game NMSU lost out on to CSUB.

NMSU also lost out on Damari Milstead who signed with GCU. However, in this case, NMSU was recruiting Milstead prior to Menzies leaving NMSU. Once Menzies left, we lost our connection to a lot of California recruits such as Milstead.

Why would I be worried about him? Sidy Ndir, only a sophomore will run circles around him.

It looks like UVU has a commitment from Isaiah White, a 6'7 small forward from Salt Lake C.C. He is currently a freshman so I don't know if he will join the Wolverines this coming season and have three years there? Or, join UVU after his sophomore season?
On a different note. So far, I've been happy with Jans recruiting at NMSU. Robert Brown is a very good commitment. It will be interesting to see if this is the start of even better recruiting classes to come. The reason I bring this up is because I am currently looking at the players Majerle is targeting for 2018-19; based off verbalcommits.com. GCU is recruiting eight players who are 3-star prospects or better. If Majerle can sign just a few of these guys he will set the recruiting bar just that much higher for the rest of the WAC.

Per Verbal Commits, Seattle U. gets a 2018 commitment from Rip Economou (6'7, 185-lbs) out of Santa Monica, CA. Hayford likes 3-point shooting in his offense. This kid looks to fit Hayford's system.

On VC, he is unevaluatrd by on 24/7, Scout (86 overall) and Rivald he is a 3 star. He is apparently a 3 star other places as ive been told.
Has offers from Towson, UTEP, Northern Arizona, Davidson, and many more. Might be Hayfords most impressive get so far!!
This would be Hayfords FIFTH 3-star so far. Seattle U is getting big potential!!
Obviously NMSU hasn't had bad coaches prior to Jans, but I think Both NMSU and Seattle have done a real good job of hiring tactically strong coaches (winners). I have no doubt Hayford will bring the type of players who will position Seattle U. to compete for a WAC Championship. And, although Jans is not bringing in quite as hyped athletes as Menzies brought to NMSU, Jans is bringing in the type of recruits who he feels he can develop and blossom into complete fundamentally sound players. Jabari Rice, 6'4, 160-lbs, RSFr; C.J. Bobbitt, 6'7, 225-lbs, RSJr, Denver Transfer; and, Robert Brown, 6'9, 238-lbs, RSFr joining the active roster in 2018-19.
