From his highlight tape he is a high flying, super athletic slasher with excellent vision as well as a threat from deep.

Sounds like Matthew Taylor part two
He is looks to be a good athlete. The video didn't show much of a perimeter game. However, the few shots highlighted in the video, shows he is more of a catch-n-shoot "jump" shooter from the perimeter as opposed to a perimeter "set" shooter which Matt Taylor was at NMSU; and he was a below average one at that.

D-2 talent. He only averaged 2 points per game and 2 rebounds per game this past season.
Yes Frank he didn't get enough time on the court. That's why he's transferring. Probably just didn't fit into their offense. You're not a D2 talent if you originally committed to Ole Miss.

He averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds per game in two seasons at the JUCO. That is D-2 talent right there.

I hadn't checked his stats. He did only play 7 mins a game. Yea it's a little strange. With the amount of bigs we currently have he's probably still gonna be at the end of the bench.

As I stated on the Aggie board, I think Jans should go the grad transfer route and just find enough talent to help our team nucleus, Harris, Ndir, and Chuha; a one year quick fix. Then focus on the 2018 class to land our next generation of star Aggie players.
The lose of Dickerson to Georgetown is a bummer but their are other D1 transfers pickups who could make an impact this coming season.

This has nothing to do with recruiting. Anyways former Ole Miss C Johhny Crnogorac officially got an offer from UTRVG today.

I thought he committed to UTRGV today, choosing them over UMKC?

Ah you're right thanks. VC didn't update to committed yet. They now have 3 Centers. Not sure how he even fits into Hill's run n gun system, unless he is changing the offense up. They are definitely going to a lot longer next year. Going to be tough for the smaller teams to matchup with.

To be fair, UMKC offer could be old. It's just listed in "Closed" offers on VC. I went through his box scores at SW TN from last season. Not sure Vaquero fans should get too hyped. Started a few games early, but relegated to a reserve roll with a lot of single-digit minutes played games by season end.
Hard to pass on a 7'1 kid, though. Plant him in the middle of the lane and make opponents work around him. I'd hope for a little more creativity from Coach Hill, but I guess we'll see.

Ouch. Talk about lost production for Dildy & Co. 4.3ppg doesn't sound like a lot, but the highest returning scorer w/ Sims departure and graduating Owens & Palmer is Delonte Simmons at 5.1ppg. Hope some of the guys they have coming in can make a positive impact right away for Cougars.
Sims is testing the waters. He can come back a long as he does not hire an agent. He is currently not in the top 100 of any draft board.
Chicago State signed a good looking point guard out of North Chicago High School last fall, Simeon Henton. Henton led North Chicago to a regional win scoring 25 points. They lost the sectional finals in OT, despite a long three pointer by Henton at the buzzer to send the game into OT. Henton made the all-state team. The point is, there is enough talent in the Chicago area for CSU to win if the state would pass a budget to give the new leadership a chance to clean things up.
I really liked the potential of Eaves, though I knew someone would be gone with all the incoming players (assuming no one backs out). They had three players redshirting that will play next year. All three are guards/SF. Dildy also signed Henton like Bob said. Also, they have two other JUCOs that are G/SF so I think Eaves decided he'd go elsewhere instead of battle for playing time. We'll see when the roster eventually come out who all actually stayed around though. That's been a problem for the team the last couple years.
About Sims.. I really do think he's gone. I'd love to see him back, but reading some of his posts really makes me believe he'll be looking for a pro league elsewhere similar to former guard Jamere Dismukes. I hope I'm wrong though.

UMKC had absolutely no length so this is a good add for them.

NMSU offers 3 star 6'1'' PG Marcus Shaver Jr. He has a ton of other offers the most impressive being Boise State. Seattle also offered him last month.

Shavers is nice. His back court mate, Jaelen House, is also a baller. House is the son of ASU great and long time NBA player Eddie House. Part of me has wanted to see GCU get in on House for a long time, but he does already have an offer from dad's alma mater. If the kid wants to be his own man, GCU may have a chance.
House is on campus and knows the facilities, as Shadow Mountain participates in GCU team camps every summer. I guess Shaver technically does, too. All the Bibby Ball kids also usually come through for Midnight Madness & big games on campus. Being in conference w/GCU may actually help SU or NMSU with Shaver, as it is a guaranteed trip home every year to play in front of family & friends.
