Good job by the administration. They're going to get a ear full, I'm sure.

I'd love to be on this, but the meetings are quarterly in DeKalb, so that's a no go for me at this point.

Hopefully some ex-player alumni will step up. They can provide a good perspective.

The best feedback will be provided by season ticket holders and donors who are frustrated with facing years and years of internal issues and capped by the ESPN debacle. I think they are aware of the issues. They either can't do anything about them or choose not to.

Are you applying? You would be perfect for it.

MaddDawgz, 7, Huskie John are other names that spring to mind. I might not always agree with them but they are definitely some of the most passionate fans on this forum.

I would hope that STF will be open to constructive criticism. In public, he is always "rah, rah" positive and deflects any criticism. He will need an open mind and listen to members of the advisory board because they will have a vested interest in the Huskies, years of experience, and have the success of the program as their goal. If he simply tries to deflect the comments and turn around what people are saying, this won't work. He needs to listen to the voices of the fans and donors, and act accordingly.

I've emailed STF this year about not renewing my season tickets and he's as frustrated as anyone else about ESPN deal. He wants all Saturday games and he knows fans aren't happy about it. How we fix other issues from customer service to game day experience is what are things we can help with.

Yes, thank you. STF has been nothing but open about his dislike of the MAC agreement to play week day games. I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise. And this advisory board is yet ANOTHER way he is trying his hardest to improve huskie athletics. That there are people out there who think he's just coasting along in his job is insane to me.

Serious question.

Why does STF need an advisory board to point out to him gameday issues (concessions, staffing, etc.), customer service, in areas like the ticket office (my ticket orders across basketball and football have had issues three out of the past four years), and the rest? Those speak to the management of the department.

I'm really down on all this right now.

You are correct. I guess STF needs to repeatedly hear these things directly from his customers. Maybe he is not aware of everything that frustrates the fans. He needs to hear first hand about ticket and other issues, concessions lines and food items, customer service, etc. Then, if nothing is done, it's all on him.

It will also help the fans to hear why some things are just not able to be done.

It is understood about the scheduling issue and weeknight games. But the other things (ticket issues, concessions, customer service, etc.) are correctable.

Which things? Like having more than one concession window open at a basketball game when the demand is clearly there?

I get why the east side addition/remodel at the stadium isn't happening. I don't understand why my ticket order keeps getting messed up.

Putting aside the football schedule, I honestly see STF as a poor manager/administrator. He's a rah-rah guy who doesn't seem in tune with the actual machinery/mechanism of running the department. That is why I roll my eyes when he's in the news talking about another layer of playoffs.

Yes. What I would like to see are changes to correct the problems that are/should be easily correctable. In any business, customer service is the kingpin. Respect your customers and keep them happy, and they will come back for more.

One of my big issues is the mailing of season tickets. There is NO excuse for sending the tickets so close to the opening game that they arrive the day of the game or after. This has happened to me twice (and one time the tickets came the day before the opening game). Why cut it so close? It gets frustrating and nerve-wracking checking the mailbox for the tickets a day or two before the first game. This is so easily correctable with some common sense.
