right exactly, the entire sum of money doesn't go to the host/forum/etc. but i lowballed the ticket figure when you consider suites/etc. so even if only 20% of that somehow finds its way back to the city, that's still 1M

Tickets are sold. That money's already in the bank. If UK and UNC get knocked out (fingers crossed), the impact is on hospitality. No more than $5M difference - no matter the teams.
But, see, I might save $100 on a ticket. Heck, Memphis has hosted events for years and I've never seen a red cent of that money come my way. And, really, who can put a price on Avery?
