Can I want more while supporting the team and coach?

So everyone stops their financial support.....how then do you expect we PAY the new guy (who is certainly going to cost more than the departing coach)?

Why has someone brought back a year old thread when the same crap is in all the others?

I won't technically be "off the ship" till the ODAF 1 May deadline. But I'll be on the CSNBBS ship as long as it sails.

So we can hire a coach that can line up ALL THE PIECES AND FINALLY GET US BACK TO THE NCAA TOURNAMENT.

Any more brain busters?

Yes. Why does the "Jeff Jones Hot Seat" thread have a baseball next to it?

I never thought I would see the day that i would see people bitching about a 24-6 regular season finish, a top 75 RPI, and with a real reasonable shot at going to the NCAA tourney. You may disagree with how he is running the team, but he is getting it done and improving the team annually. My feeling is that J.J. gets a pass unless we lose in the first round of the C-USA tournament again.

Wood, as much as I loathe him, would be stupid to fire the most successful coach he has hired. In my opinion, Wood, with his basketball hires, has positioned ODU men's and women's basketball to be quite successful in the coming years.

I never thought I would see the day when our fanbase would be excited that we finished second in the 15th best conference in the country and finished the season winless against top 100 opponents.

See how the flaming goes both ways and your little pot shots just cause more of the posts that you don't like?

Finishing second this year was pretty good, as the top 4 or 5 teams are very good. I, for one, will wait until the season is over before I lodge my complaints. We all knew back in June that an at-large bid was pretty much shot.

Be we have a good a chance as anyone to win the conference tournament. After next weekend, we'll see where we are and what direction we are going in.

Yeah, we finished second to a team that was ranked in the top 25 and lost two games in conference. 24-6 baby!

Or just acting like it's dumb to talk about firing a coach after doing so.

The only time it is "dumb" to discuss changing coaches is when the existing coach is meeting expectations. If Jones is doing that then fine. If he isn't doing that then the discussion is valid. It all boils down to expectations and it is apparent that the expectations of the people that frequent the boards vary from individual to individual.

No need for a banner. However, those who are stating that JJ will/should be fired isn't logical. They can have their opinions (and by all means stop your financial support), but JJ will be here next season period. Onto the next thread.
