Another good road win for the Good Guys. 9-3 is a terrific start...especially considering only 3 of our 12 games have been played at home to date.

I thought this team would be better this year, but not this much better so soon. I wasn't completely sold on Coach Ike last year but felt better after hearing those here speaking very highly of the guy. Now I get it and look forward to seeing more.

Get on board, sucka! JK. I thought he did a great job at VMI, and I was sold on him when we made the CAAT last year. I said before the season, that I expect us to make it to the final game of the CAAT this year, and truly believe we have a chance to make the NCAA Regionals.

Dukes getting it done in Game 1 of the DH today against Coppin State. Up 8-0 thru 3 innings.

Getting runs in a lot of conventional and unconventional ways.

A walk and a hit by pitch, both with the bases loaded started the scoring in the 1st.

A fielder's choice and a home run in the 2nd made it 6-0.

Sac fly and RBI single in the 3rd push it to 8-0

Now in the 4th, a triple followed by a double make it 9-0.

Hamner homers. 11-0 in the bottom of the 4th.

14-2 bottom 5th

Up to 15-2 now and a runner on 3rd. At this rate the second game of the double header might not start until tomorrow!

So will the first game of this DH end after 7 innings? I certainly hope so.

We've got two possibly pretty damn good teams going on for the Spring season.

Fall and Spring.

Now just gotta really work on that winter MBB...

The baseball schedule is pretty favorable but fair for year two of a program. If JMU can do well in CAA play, it should build momentum for an even better year next year and perhaps a return to the NCAAs for us soon.
