RE: GAMEDAY THREAD: App State at Tennessee 7:30pm et SEC Network
It's about damn time. Have been browsing the Tennessee Message Boards. They honestly remind me a bit of a group that may collectively have Borderline Personality Disorder. If this game stays within 20 points that place is going into melt down and all the "WE'RE BACKKKK" talk will almost certainly cease to exist.
Time to see if starting the smaller, faster receivers and defensive line will pay off in a match-up against a P5 team or if it is geared more toward G5 competition.

I never had an issue with State fans until you showed up. While your score prediction is valid and far more likely to actually be correct than mine (though mine was made in jest but I will stick to it), the constant negativity about App really is mind boggling.

Closet App fan perhaps?
I didn't even name a snide remark. Can't make a prediction here if it's not in favor of Appy?

In short, now isn't the time.
Just think, if you predict a blowout loss for App, you'll be right along with the other 95% of the population. Good job. But if you predict a win for App and they win, you will be considered an analytical genius who must have some super computer throwing out crazy numbers to help you predict the most improbable of wins.
That tactic served me well for the App - Michigan game. I haven't predicted a win against a P5 since until this one. It's 9 years later to the day of that game and I expect that the gravitational pull of the moon, Venus and Mars aligns against with the black pants and white jersey to pull Appalachian into the winners circle.
Predict a win, be wrong, everything will be okay.

A lot of people in North Carolina still think App is in FCS.

After watching the first five minutes, it is clear to me that he is not going to say anything about App other than they beat Michigan.
For Finebaum, that's quality research.
I've never watched or listened to his show before and I'm thoroughly disappointed that ESPN would fire an actual journalist (who was told to be controversial for ratings) yet continue to not only employ this guy but give him his own show.
On a side note, it is nice to be able to watch something related to an App game four hours before kick-off.

Good luck Appy...most of the SBC fans will be pulling for ya. I hope at the very least it is a good game. You gotta pull for an SBC team when they are playing an OOC game...especially against a P5
RE: GAMEDAY THREAD: App State at Tennessee 7:30pm et SEC Network
I'm currently in army training, and someone completely independent of App or Tenn (he went to west point, and played under Monken) was talking about this game. He said it's going to be the best game of the night. I'm really looking forward to watching this as well, so I can see what we will be up against in the future. I say that App keeps it close in the first half, but Tenn breaks them down in the second, and outscores them 42-24

Finebaum is an establishment in the state of Alabama to the unwashed Bama and Auburn masses.
He doesn't have to know anything about anyone else because none of his listeners know the difference anyway.

Apparently, GS Alum and country music star Cole Swindell (this isn't a music discussion so save the hate) was a guest on Finebaum's show, and PF asked him if he was excited about the Dawgs this year. Cole told him that he didn't follow them much, was a GS alum and fan, but that he pulls for all teams from Georgia to do well overall. I didn't get to hear the clip, but apparently it completely threw Finebaum that CS was from Georgia but not a huge dwag nuthugger.
