Sure looks like the pieces are coming together for Ball State BB. I'm feeling good about this coming year and even better about the folllowing year. If we can keep geetting players like this it should be fun again at the arena.

Well, he finally seems to be getting his players and not just getting guys to fill spots.

I thought he would be able to play this season due to the coaching change, the but StarPress article lists that he will sit out this season... This was surely me being dense...

He could be the impact player we need. To bad he's not eligible this year. Coaches and change and hit the bench immediately, I don't like the double standard applied to players. Just not fair.

It's a terrific get for Ball State. He has the potential to be a starter for at least two years, a double figure scorer, and one of the better point guards in the MAC. He'll bring a lot of size, strength, and grit to our back court. The MAC is a great fit for Persons, especially if the MAC can sustain the quality of play and depth it had this year. If we can combine Persons with Teague, Tyler, Kiapway, Moses, Sellers etc....over the next 3-4 years, we have a chance to be pretty darn good. Really excited about landing him, and think it says some good things about Whitford and our future that Persons cancelled the visit to Xavier.
