Yeah UL is the only team that wouldn't be in limbo of losing a bowl, so they can say whatever they want.

Exactly - he is speaking of a position of more security than the rest.

It was fun while there was still an ounce of hope. Hope all 4 conference teams make a bowl this year.

Gotta say this made the message board a lot more interesting then if there was no appeal. Not sure how much work I've gotten done waiting for updates.

Hope this never happens to another team especially one that wins a conference outright, but oh well we all knew it was a long shot especially without conference support.

We knew the rule going in so it was just going to be a bonus.

If don't add any more move-ups I can assure you it won't happen again.

I for one am glad to have this resolved. It was about a .000001% chance anyway.

Now the bowls can start selecting their teams. I am still hoping all 4 bowl eligible Belt teams get to go bowling.

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. The rule needs to be changed regardless. Anyway, great season...better than any of us could have expected. Southern accomplished all that was within their power to accomplish in the conference. To the rest of you, win your damn bowl games. :)
