LMT the SEC has 9 teams

in the field of 64.IN addition to that the SEC and ACC combine for 17 teams.This really blows away the idea of the power in baseball being anywhere other than the southeast.I don't know if you realize it but Miami was the first team east of the Mississippi to win a NC in baseball. I'm sure that was 1982.What's intereting to me is if you look at a pre-season poll of top 25 in football 6 of the top 25 is from the SEC and 4 from the ACC.

Actually there are many top seeds in the West as well, the pac ten has 5 teams in the tourney, throw in LBSU, CSF and Pepperdine and you have 8 teams from the left coast. Texas has some tough squads as well. The SEC was very impressive today though, going 9-0. thats gamin'.
