Why has ASU had a perennial top ten team the past few years, yet not be able to get to the National Championship game?

Is this guy like the Mac Brown of I-AA?
NOBODY does less with more than good ole' Mac Brown over at Texas.
(edit: I need to increase my intake of caffeine before posting... otherwise my grammar is just terrible!!)

Two words:
Postseason choker
In their history they've only made it to the semifinals twice and NEVER a championship game.
They are 8-11 in the postseason overall. OUCH! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

Well since they do pretty much own us, I can't talk smack at all, but who knows why a lot of SoCon teams become a bust in the playoffs? I know one thing, I'll pull for ANY SoCon team in the I-AA Champ.(yes, even you ASU)because we are the best conference in the land. See you Mounties November 16th!! GO CATS!!

The Apps may need it to salvage their season. You know how that is, eh, Cats?

ASU is indeed the biggest choker and waste of talent in the post season (all those All-Americans and nine-win seasons and no trips to the big game) but I would trade it for the consistency they have had over the past 15 years. Hopefully we can turn things November 16. Go CATS!

Can't say they choked in '00. Just the third best team team in the SoCon, yet lost in OT by a FG to Montana in the semi's.
Gonna be hard for any one particular team to make it to the NC game from last year on out with that regional travel crap causing SoCopn's to eliminate Socons.
Of course that could make it easier for App to bury the Cats twice in one season.

I hope App can turn the corner soon and make it to the big game.
I was at the EKU game last Saturday and the defense and special teams in the second half gave us the win.
Watched the Liberty game yesterday and was speechless for most of the game. No consistancy. That has got to change once we get into the conference schedule.

I have to agree that Rob Best is the problem. Way too conservative and too predictable. <img border="0" alt="[Saber]" title="" src="graemlins/saber.gif" />

Oh Great Catamount Cootie, I heard you on WFNZ's whiner line yesterday. Was that hick redneck dialect for real or just an act??
I think I know the answer.
