I work at a company with 16,000 employees and we have a lot of cases where two employees have the same name - including the same middle name - so the info this board is relying on - while I think is very strong - is probably not enough for a conservative news outlet to rely on.

Yeah its weird isnt it! Im starting to conclude there is just no digging going on, media doesnt care, the big story is that he is leaving Notre Dame.

They won't announce it until they get official word from either NIU or ND. He's coming here, but none of this stuff is "confirmed" info.

There is enough out there that they could get solid enough information to report it, there is just not a sense of urgency to it right now. Woulc be nice if this happened say early next week so NIU could capitalize on the publicity from this, it might get lost in the weekend shuffle a little bit. Thats ok though, Im not complaining :)

I don't know why everyone is so confused as to how the media is handling this. It's still a question mark. If it was definite why wouldn't have NIU's SID issued a press release already - or for that matter, ND's? Based on the info hear it sounds certain, but from the news media's perspective the news is juicer - it affects more viewers - if you say NIU, NW, and TN - if just NIU many college fans couldn't care less.

We at Tennessee hear Jones is coming your way not ours. I don't think he would get any playing time in Orange. Crompton will be the QB next year with either Nick Stephens or Coleman as back-up. Coleman has a good chance to be the man, he flew to us under the radar and never got much attention, but I have heard he's the real deal. I wish you guys well if you do get Jones but I'm not sold on his throwing abilities.
