visit to Dallas...
We're planning on visiting Dallas for 4-5 days, starting Sept 27. Our plans are to attend the UTEP-SMU game on Saturday and the 'Boys on Sunday. What area of town would be better for us travel and convenience wise? What touristy sites do you recommend? We went to a UTEP-SMU game about 3 years ago and I thought your school was very nice. I loved your architecture and the fans (for the most part) were nice and courteous. That time we only went to the games, I say games because we also attended the Cowboys game that time. Thanks for your help. May the best team win. Go Miners--Go CUSA

I live in Austin and come up for all of the home games. I stay at the Radisson on Central as they usually have good deals and you can also walk to the game. As for tourist stuff I am at a complete loss.

Radisson is very convenient and walking distance to Ford Stadium. Pricer, but better, is the Hilton Park Cities about 10 minutes away in University Park.

As for fun, Deep Ellum (local music and restaurants) and West End (more touristy), near the American Airlines Arena. For bars and college kids, anything on Greenville Avenue.

Enjoy the campus and get there two hours before kick-off. The Boulevard is a great place to be before a game. It is the main street of the campus and it will be wall to wall people having a good time.

Enjoy. Go Ponies!

04-cheers
