Where did you cut your wresting teeth at?
Mostly Georgia Championship Wrestling. They had alot of good guys come through in the years I watched. I remember liking the Briscoes, but I think they must have left pretty early on. I saw a lot of Tommy Rich, and Superstar/Mr. Wrestling II. But, occasionally I saw Ernie "Big Cat" Ladd, Kevin von Erich (in an incredible TV match w/ Superfly Snuka!) the Crusher, Raymond Rougeau and of course Chick Donovan!
I remember being stunned by some guy named Sterling Golden, too.
One guy I would toss out for consideration would be Bob Armstrong. Don't think he held major belts, but he was on TV every week then too.
Eventually that turned into the Rock and Roll Express, the Midnight Express, and of course the Four Horsemen.
I'd also get to see some wrestling on a channel from Dayton: Chris Adams is the only memory from that one.
But in a few years, I had my own HS wrestling career, WWF started to outshine the NWA/WCW, and I generally had less time.
But, in '94 when Nitro started, in six years I probably missed less than 10 Monday night shows considering both Nitro and RAW. That doesn't count the Wed Thunder, Smackdown, and the WCW Saturday night shows!
