Center - Howland, backed up by Cates! Two big, strong freshman who will need to learn the game fast (and will).
Power Forward - Echols! JC All-American. Big, strong, can score, can go to the board and can block shots.
Wing Forward - Who else, "T" and he will really shine. Shot from outside, take it inside. Rebound. Control the game - WOW!!!!
Shooting Guard - You know this answer, it's Williams! Bigger, stronger, though not as fast as Pettie. He will stretch the "D."
Point - We'll miss Billy, but McCollum is bigger, stonger and with a year of experience. Last year will pay off in spades here!
Plently of back-ups. Sparky, Miller at the forward position. Bennett will greatly improve and Cox will bring more to the table then anyone thinks.
2003 MAC Champs with a major run at the Big Dance - going where no other Ball State team has ever gone!

Geez David.
Aren't you a little over anxious for basketball season to start? Cripes. The football team hasn't even reported for summer workouts yet!

I can't wait for football season and I see the CARDS having a good team - like in the old days of last century (1990's). In the past ten years, only three teams have won MAC football titles - Toledo, Marshall, and Ball State!
This year could see us going 9-3, no worse than 7-5. But, Marshall should be a great team, Miami will be up there, so will BG, and that darn Central Florida will command respect on day 1!
But, the basketball team has the chance to be something really special in Ball State history!

Like I said David, I love your enthusiasm.
Please stop by the tastefully designed RV in front of the stadium this fall and introduce yourself!

another quick correction...BGSU won it in 1992 (and 1991 but that would be the last 11 years).
Didn't CMU win a share of the title in 1990?
GO BG!!!!

Yep. CMU won at least a share of the MAC Title in 1990 and went to the California Bowl. That defense was a great one: held opponents to less than 9ppg in the regular season! We have reason to hope this year's squad will have our best "D" since 1998 (when offense was the problem)...
