Just curious, do any Buffalo fans think your team will be any better next season? Anybody willing to give a rundown on what you expect to see this season?

Sad to say, I'm just hoping for mediocrity. With the state of the program, 3-4 wins would be cause for students crashing the field, tearing down goalposts and the coach honored with a parade. At least we are all hoping that the program hit rock bottom LAST YEAR.

3-4 wins is more than possible, though. Most of the starters are back and they are now upperclassmen. The redshirt freshmen this year will be providing depth and not starting. If you believe the recruiting guides, UB's last few FB recruiting classes are MAC caliber, so hopefully this will translate into some wins soon. They have a freshman kicker who booted a 64 yard field goal in high school. The QB battle last year resulted in both players playing much better as the year progressed. One of them, Secky, quarterbacked the win over Rutgers a couple years ago.

We UB supporters have a bone to pick with Rutgers basketball, however!! Apparently, Rutgers has backed out of a committment to play in Buffalo next year after Buffalo was rolled over at Rutgers last year. Buffalo has it top 8 players returning from a 17 win season and I believe that Waters was the Kent State coach when Kent lost at UB during their Elite 8 season. C'mon! Can't a former MAC coach give a MAC team a break?

IMO, mediocrity is a good start...you got to start somewhere. I might be in the minority but I think UB could put together some very solid athletic programs. I'll be watching you guys this fball season and I'm predicting atleast 4 wins for you guys.

You guys closed out this bball season strong, hopefully you can keep it going next season. By the way Rutgers is moving up in the world, I don't know if this is why you guys were dropped but we'll be playing Kansas and a couple other big boys next season.
