Yes, I do.
To me, fiscal conservatism starts with a balanced budget. Ryan doesn't make substantial cuts in military spending, and without substantial cuts in military spending you can't really expect to balance the budget.
I'd say Ryan's budget is more republican than conservative.

Do you actually know any libertarians? I mean personally, in your day-to-day life.
Probably. I don't speak to too many people at work but my guess would be that based on most of the people I work with, most would not be Libertarians. I do talk with a couple tea baggers. You guys would like them. They are big on Republican talking ponts. One of the tea baggers spewed a list of Republican talking points so fast that it had to be a world record.

RE: Huckabee to announce his decision tomorrow
There is some overlap between the Tea Party movement and libertarianism, although they tend to attract very different types of people. but I asked that question because you seemed surprised that a person could actually be "to the right" of the Ryan budget proposals. The whole essence of libertarianism, as I understand it, is "to the right" of the Ryan budget. To be shocked by this, is simply to admit that one does not know (or at least, does not talk politics with) any libertarians.

He won in 2000 because he campaigned very very very differently than he ended up governing. He won in 2004 because the Dems chose their own version of McCain to run against him.

That means there's pretty much nobody out there who speaks to me.
Gary Johnson. Ron Paul.

You're skirting around the edges and I think not quite getting it right. Quite simply there are two wings of the Tea Party. There's the libertarian wing, which is the Ron Paul crowd. Then there's the Sarah Palin wing, consisting of GOP'ers who are at least intellectually honest enough to recognize that the GOP is fully capable of being incompetent and generally is. The factions are of roughly equal size. I find it amusing, being an original Tea Partier from 2007 in the Ron Paul campaign, where the Tea Party was born. The Ron Paul crowd has a word for the Sarah Palin wing of the Tea Party: teaocons.

My vote goes to anyone who is not from the Big Gov't Party and has a record that bears that out.

Who cares about that now, although Gore did have half a million more votes. I don't argue the results. What good could come from it. That sad 8 year national embarrassment is over now. Let's clean up George's fiscal, millitary and diplomatic mess and move on.

I'd rather have "that *****" than Obama--by miles and miles.
And I'd rather have "her husband" than Obama, or Shrub, or Kerry, or Gore, or McCain.

Not sure how the "like ability" factor is among GOPers. We need a candidate that is like able and he/she will be able to win. I favor Tim Paelwentry and Michelle Bachman.
