You just linked to an organization that has denied the horrors of apartheid repeatedly and has many highly controversial links to racists in SA. You might want to investigate a little more when picking out an example of a non-racist source. Better luck next time.
Those are the only sources they know. Why do you think s/he hid the link. That's what happens when your only source of news is off brand websites.
Who the hell is they? It seems to me that this term would be a pejorative if used by those you refer to as they. It's my experience that racism cuts both ways.
Now as to these sources the ones on the left are as biased as the ones on the right from what I read. I mix the BBC(and I don't mean BBC America) with the Nikkei News to get any semblance of what is going on. The Japanese still do news the old fashioned way. They present both sides of the story without editorial comment and let the audience decide. Refreshing really.
I don't know how old the board is here but the same things happened in the Congo in the early 60's and in Rhodesia in the 70's. Two wrongs don't make a right, but that said those in South Africa had two blueprints for what would eventually happen and chose to ignore the risk. That doesn't make what's happening to them right anymore than the apartheid that gave them their advantages in decades past was right.
But if European Colonialism has taught us anything it's that people rebel against it and successfully.

Just as soon as we get you socialists down to Venezuela to straighten them out.
Venezuela isn’t a failure of socialism. It’s a failure of leadership due to incompetence and corruption. That’s something the GOP specializes in. I didn’t think it was possible to find a president more incompetent than GWB, then you righties found your great orange savior proving that you can always sink lower.

I don't care who is doing it.
And spewing raw, unadultered hate at others does nothing to bring people to your side.

It most certainly is a failure of socialism. They have ran out of other people's money. That's why it's currently cheaper to wipe your ass with currency than it would be to spend the currency to buy toilet paper.

The day South Africa abolished apartheid is the day whites should have cut their losses and left the country. If you are part of the minority that is both small relative to the majority demographic AND your group used to benefit greatly by being in charge - it's not going to end well in the long term. Just not a smart move to stick around hoping that you would remain preserve what you have.

Unfortunately true.
Mandela tried to prevent this, and I think as long as he stayed alive, he had enough moral force to hold the line. But like Kenyatta in Kenya, who I saw making similar attempts to keep whites from bailing out there in the 60s and 70s, once Madiba was gone the end was in sight for whites.

South Africa stayed propped up much longer than it should have for one reason. Metals and I don't mean Gold. Rhodium and Chromium were both essential for the Space Race. Otherwise they would have been a footnote in history decades ago. Pursuit of those metals by the USSR was behind the destabilization but it even got away from them. It's been total chaos in many parts of the continent since the colonial regimes pulled out or were toppled.

Ive wondered why it didn't fall apart sooner. Every time I see the S.A. parliament on tv it reminds me of the scene from Lawrence of Arabia when they take Damascus.

An epic movie in every sense! But especially to illustrate the unintended consequences of British rule and the morass of rule that occurs when a culture that lacks for engineers wins out. Those metals were used in the making of strong but lightweight alloys for aviation and space craft back in the day. There were only two sources of them in any quantity in the world and the Rhodesia and South Africa region of Africa was one of them. The other was within the USSR. We had to keep them propped up. We took in a good many whites from Rhodesia when that regime fell.
Nothing reflects the current state of education quite like when the questions about why we backed certain regimes doesn't come to the forefront in a discussion such as this one. These countries weren't backed to support apartheid. They were backed because of the vital and strategic interests of the United States as it sought to provide for its defense.
It was kind of nice when the country thought of its citizens and its own defense first.

I have a good understanding of what's occurring in SA. However, I'll let you educate me by telling of any other African nation that has undergone this type of transition where a happy ending for the African natives occurred.
Whether you’ve heard of such white nationalist sites or not doesn’t change the fact that you’re drinking from their cup. Would you mind demonstrating that you know what the South African government is doing in terms of land redistribution? If all you’ve done is click on links like those above, then you’re being made a fool of by those who are pushing racial hatred. Don’t be a fool.
You seem young because your posting lacks any recognition of historical context, you know, the whole "those who don't learn from history" thing.
You can talk about what you think the government of SA will do with land redistribution, or what they say they will do, but it will eventually end in a grab handed out to political cronies. Those anointed few will then use what food they can produce (which will be insufficient) as leverage to build empires. Eventually, these new land barons will battle each other for dominance and you'll end up with a war of clans.
Again, educate me on the times such a situation like this has worked out well for the masses in Africa. Or maybe you think this is like socialism, it always works when implemented properly, but unfortunately its just not been implemented properly yet throughout the history of mankind.
People with your world view always seem to conveniently ignore the nature of man. People seek power, increased wealth and prestige. Always have, always will. No one really wants equality. No wants wants to live in an average house, drive an average car, marry an average woman and lead an average life. Therefore, economic systems like socialism will always fail due to corruption because someone has to run the system and those people will take advantage of it. If everybody kicks everything into a pot the allure of skimming will always win out.

The really comical lesson lost on young Americans who think socialism is great is that when a socialist government is established the first victim is always the right of dissent. This forum in a socialist country would be monitored complete with the government's access to IP addresses and the ones who complained would simply disappear.
The very rights we are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights vanish. I would love for them to talk to any immigrants we have received from former socialist regimes. In fact it should be mandatory that those persons be utilized to speak to high school and college classes everywhere to document the experience. Nothing would shut up those who espouse socialism faster than the testimonies of those who have lived socialism.

You're forgetting the standard response - it just wasn't implemented properly in (insert country name here). Or possibly - we are not advocating socialism, we want democratic socialism. It's different.

I haven't forgotten the standard responses. It's why I suggested former members of socialist nations should be encouraged to lecture at colleges and high schools. Like with everything else the left pushes the last thing they want to encounter is somebody who actually knows the truth.
If we hadn't just raised 30 years worth of inexperienced, untraveled, introverts life would take care of it. But the new plethora of insular know nothings fall for everything because they know nothing of the world in which they live. I would recommend a summer trip to Venezuela, Cuba, or even China. But with China I wouldn't want them visiting the capitalistic looking yet centrally governed Beijing, but rather the rural areas. There's nothing like state enforced poverty to arouse the independent spirit.

There is your free lesson for the day kids. Thank JR.
The smart money saw this coming and pulled the nukes out years ago. Maybe the only country in the world to voluntarily give up it's nukes
History repeats.
Well at independence they had the privileged 25-30% British and Afrikaners who were generally educated, well organized and efficient. The ANC didn't purge them all at once. But now the tribalism seems to be setting in. It was how the Apartheid government stayed in place for so long. Xhosa vs. Zulu vs. the "Coloreds" vs. the Indians vs. a dozen other tribes.

Eastern Europeans are some of the most ardent anti-socialists in Europe.

You see enough in Beijing to see the poverty. That is when you can see more than 50 feet through the noxious, polluted haze.

RE: South African Government Targets White Land Owners
South Africa Withdraws Land Seizure Bill Following Trump’s Tweet
Quote:JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa’s parliament withdrew an expropriation bill it passed in 2016 that allowed the state to make compulsory purchases of land to redress racial disparities in ownership, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) said on Tuesday.
The thrust of the bill, which had not been signed into law, has been overtaken by a proposal by the ANC to change the constitution to allow the expropriation of land without compensation.
The bill was meant to enable the state to pay for land at a value determined by a government adjudicator and then expropriate it for the “public interest”, ending the willing-buyer, willing-seller approach to land reform.
However, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Aug. 1 the ANC plans to change the constitution to allow the expropriation of land without compensation, as whites still own most of South Africa’s territory.
South Africans are taking part in public hearings on land reform that are being held countrywide, to give their comments on the ANC’s proposal to change the constitution.
“The bill in its current form would need to be re-considered in light of the process of reviewing Section 25 of the constitution for the expropriation of land without compensation,” Nonceba Mhlauli, a spokeswoman for the ANC’s chief whip, said.
“Were the bill to be re-introduced, it would contain a clause or clauses reflecting expropriation of land without compensation if that is the way that South Africans have chosen to go,” she said.
