But at what point does the right need to stop blaming "the media" for things when the biggest players are allies?
Maybe you didn't see this important tidbit:
Quote:followed by 14% for PBS, 11% for ABC, 10% for CNN, 9% for CBS, 6% each for Comedy Central and MSNBC, and 3% for NBC
Since you're probably bad at math, that's 59% of people who think some leftist hate mongerer is their best friend.
You're right, Conservative media is at a 9% disadvantage in the trust department.
I think I'm just tired of conservatives having such a victim complex when it comes to the media.
There's a lot more to "media" than simply teevee channels.
Yup.
Everybody has equal access to internet media sites so that's really about free choice on the consumer part.
Radio? Well conservatives have an edge there with the proliferation of talk radio.
Newspaper? WSJ has a larger circulation than Washington Post and NY Times combined.
Well, close but not quite there.
Conservative radio has an edge not because of proliferation of talk radio, I recall listening to Bruce Williams, Barry Farber and others going back decades. What we've had instead is a proliferation of radio
listeners that will tune in to hear another side of the messaging. Liberal talk radio has been tried, and for the most part failed. Spectacularly. Similar to what is the fate of msdnc.
Print? Let's not pretend the NYSlimes doesn't still set the news tone or topic for most of what's discussed and featured on the nightly news and Sunday shows. And why did you simply choose the one lazy "stat" that has become the "go to" for the lefts false argument about the circulation of only 3 papers? Don't want to include the LA Times? How about San Fransicko Chronicle? Atlanta Constitution?
Funny you left those and countless others out.
As far as internet media, no way to judge that. Is this site liberal or conservative? Do you judge by clicks? Cause I'll visit several dim sites any given day. Especially on breaking news like when XL gets the nod later today, just to witness first hand the leftists meltdowns and tantrum.
You are correct in part- the tide is clearly turning. People are finally fed up with the obnoxious arrogance, lies and deceit of the likes of Rather Bias, Peter Jennings, Brokaw etc. They are voting with their feet and the results are becoming more clear every day.
