Has anyone noticed a change in DuckDuckGo? - TomorrowHerd - 07-30-2024 07:35 PM

I have noticed over the last few months, whenever I do a search that there is a LOT of NYtimes, BBC, MSN, and mainstream media sources listed. It didn't used to be that bad...

Definitely! I have noticed that. They seem to be paying for prime positioning. You have to dig a while to get beyond liberal MSM media.

I haven't noticed any change in Brave's searches and I believe it incorporates Duck Duck Go as its search engine. At least it used to. Not sure anymore.

Anyways, switch to Brave. Way better free browser without pop ups and ads and all the other crap.

Zuckerbucks.

Republicans usually don't push anti-trust law very hard. Democrats are aggressive, but clearly have decided it doesn't apply to those who donate enough money to the DNC.

Survey--I would select the first, but whoever designed that would probably use it to promote sources I don't trust-NYT, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, WaPo.

Thanks for participating in this very short survey. Your response will be collected via Forsta Surveys, and anonymized results will be shared with DuckDuckGo.
What issues have you encountered while using DuckDuckGo in Chrome?
Select all that apply
When doing research, info comes from sources I don't trust
When browsing online, I frequently see ads related to my recent searches
Reviews, recommendations, or social media feeds missing from websites
I notice price changes on products I've viewed multiple times
When looking for videos, too many results come from YouTube
Can't sign in to online banking
Videos don't always play
Search results are often unrelated to my search query
None of the above

Rumble is an improvement over Big Tech, but they still have no real commitment to free speech. They are trying to straddle the line between fake “freer” speech to remain main stream, IMO.

I do like them some, but they feel a little too Silicon Valley-esque to me. They seem like the type of company who would compromise on a “just a few ‘minor’ things” to make money, or sell to investors who only want to gut it.
