Was Jesus copied from Horus and Mithra? - ericsrevenge76 - 06-18-2024 06:36 AM

This is claimed in the movies Zeitgeist, Religiosity and a few other sources. A lot of people who have seen these have no idea how laughable and made up these claims are. It all sounds groundbreaking and mindblowing when you hear it, until you actually begin to FACT CHECK the claims.

There are literally millions of people out there who think these things are true.

Its just sad how easy it is to deceive people.

Sounds like these people are in deep with the demonic.

I'll take "Stuff that happens when those with substance abuse binge on junk foord and old movies" for $500", please Alex! NO! But Mothra did assist Godzilla. These people were likely just druggies who were watching old Japanese horror films late at night when they had the munchies. Mothra was transliterated into Mithra and Christ into "God"zilla, all in an elaborate hallucination which they mistook for a vision from God. So, when the Blues Brothers came on after the Godzillathon, they thought they were on a mission. Crap in crap out!07-coffee3

per Wikipedia
Quote:James Warner Wallace (born June 16, 1961) is an American homicide detective and Christian apologist. Wallace is a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview and an Adjunct Professor of Apologetics at Talbot School of Theology (Biola University) in La Mirada, California. He has authored several books, including Person of Interest, Cold-Case Christianity, God's Crime Scene, and Forensic Faith, in which he applies principles of cold case homicide investigation to apologetic concerns such as the existence of God and the reliability of the Gospels. He has been featured as a cold case homicide expert on Fox 11 Los Angeles, truTV (formerly Court TV), and NBC.

His site is Cold-Case Christianity, a play on his work as a cold-case homicide detective in Los Angeles.

He comes from a line of police officers and a line of atheists. He himself was an atheist when his wife became pregnant. She suggested they maybe ought to take their child to church so he went along. While at the church service, he heard the pastor say, "Jesus was the smartest man who ever lived." He took that as a challenge and began using his detective skillset to find evidence for or against Jesus.

His honest research led to his conversion to Christianity, because the evidence suggests the Gospels and Bible are true.

As one that researches mythology, I'll say that Jesus was not copied from other motifs.

3:16 post.

How fitting. 04-cheers

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is actually really good to hear from you Panther. I recall a couple years ago you were saying Jesus' entire life from birth to Resurrection was a direct lift from mutiple other mythologies. I remember pointing out you likely got that from the movies religiosity and zeitgeist and I posted some vids debunking that obvious BS. Those were 2 of the most laughable and easily debunkable documentaries I've ever seen in my life, but wow did they fool and brainwash a lot of people. Thats why it so vital to take those things with a grain of salt and actually fact check them first.

So praise God that you now see that is not the case. 04-cheers

The thing with all of that is, there's little evidence that Jesus himself was born on Dec 25th. It's just observed on Dec 25th; therefore, that makes those vids in itself obsolete. I've seen various theories on times of the where he may have been born, but there's really no way to prove/disprove it w/out hopping in a time machine.

The most far out vids are those of the Annunaki. It's great fiction.

In my experience its mostly non Christians who think its new info that Jesus was not born on Dec 25th. The Bible never says such a thing and its well known it was just a man made creation centuries after the fact by Romans. When He was born is actually of little importance to the faith, the Gospel is based on the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus fulfilling the Old Testament as the Messiah and Son of God.

Jesus was not born on Dec 25th and He was not crucified on Easter, He was crucified at Passover.

These are man made traditions long after the fact and again its not new information.

It again just shows how stupid and dishonest Religiosity and Zeitgeist were. Yet there are still a lot of people who bring it up as if these things are factual. I can't tell you how many times I've had people bring their claims up like its a big gotcha moment.

Its so cringe.

RE: Was Jesus copied from Horus and Mithra? - ClairtonPanther - 07-17-2024 11:59 PM

I tend to agree. The date of birth is kinda irrelevant in the grand scheme.

RE: Was Jesus copied from Horus and Mithra? - umbluegray - 07-20-2024 11:17 AM

What we DO know is that Jesus was a historical figure evidenced by both biblical and nonbiblical writings.

Based on those writings we know that the Jesus we think of today is the Jesus that existed and was attested to by His disciples and followers.
