Scott Ritters says passport seized by State Department - Todor - 06-03-2024 04:09 PM Scott Ritter, the controversial former UN Weapons inspector, turned US Foreign Policy critic says was set to leave on a trip bound for Russia. He was going to attend St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He says he was pulled off the flight just before take off and had his passport seized by orders of the State Department. This is very recent, so all sides are not known yet. But it is an interesting event considering he is a frequent contributor to RT. If I had to guess, they have some trumped up charges against him and don’t want to allow him to leave the US. I’m anxious to see how this story develops. It could be big, or it could be something pretty routine. And that’s why it’s important to wait and hear the whole story, and from both sides before assuming we know all the facts. It does seem like critics of US Foreign Policy seem to have engagements with legal authorities, in this case the State Department, far more often than the average citizen. Show us you actually know what you’re talking about. You probably still believe Iraq had WMD too. UN Weapons Inspectors, including Scott Ritter said otherwise. Have you followed the lives of some of the other inspectors? I didn’t think so. Look them up if you want to know what happens to people who cross the US government narratives. In his first case, he was attempting to set up a meeting with who he thought was a 15 year old girl, but who was in fact a police officer. That case ended when he went through a court diversion program. He later was arrested for exposing himself online to who he thought was a 15 year old girl, but was again a police officer. He was convicted of those charges and served prison time. He was attempting to molest children but he was stopped before he could. Are you really defending him? Dude went to prison for trying to have sex with minors. Sent pictures of his junk to someone he thought was a 15 year old girl. Was convicted and went to prison for it. I can certainly see why you'd want to align yourself with this kind of quality individual. Sad how far some on this board have sunk in their worship of all things Putin. Arrests and conviction for sex offenses Ritter was the subject of two law enforcement sting operations in 2001.[39] He was charged in June 2001 with trying to set up a meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a 16-year-old girl.[40][41] He was charged with a misdemeanor crime of "attempted endangerment of the welfare of a child". The charge was dismissed and the record was sealed after he completed six months of pre-trial probation.[41][8] Ritter was arrested again in November 2009[42] over communications with a police decoy he met on an Internet chat site. Police said that he exposed himself, via a web camera, after the officer repeatedly identified himself as a 15-year-old girl.[5] The next month, Ritter waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was released on $25,000 unsecured bail. Charges included "unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communications facility, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, possessing instruments of crime, criminal attempt and criminal solicitation".[2] Ritter rejected a plea bargain and was found guilty of all but the criminal attempt count in a courtroom in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, on April 14, 2011.[5][43] In October 2011, he received a sentence of one and a half to five and a half years in prison.[3] He was sent to Laurel Highlands state prison in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in March 2012 and paroled in September 2014.[4][7][8] RE: Scott Ritters says passport seized by State Department - Todor - 06-04-2024 02:27 PM (06-04-2024 02:02 PM)Attackcoog Wrote:(06-04-2024 12:22 AM)Todor Wrote:(06-03-2024 11:43 PM)Attackcoog Wrote:(06-03-2024 05:21 PM)green Wrote: You said he molested a child. Where’s the case you were talking about? There isn’t one. Exactly like I said. The complainant was a government employee on the other end of a keyboard. Red flag. Big red flag. You can place as much or as little faith in the governments actions like this. I have none. He sure never had any issues like this before he crossed the US and said no there were no WMD in Iraq despite the intense pressure to do so. He has more credibility to me than the US government at this point. He has a much better track record than they do. Or you, for that matter because you are one of the biggest goose steppers I’ve ever encountered in my life. He was caught twice in less than 10 years trying to have sex with minors. If a guy gets caught twice trying to rob houses in 10 years—-it’s pretty likely he succeeded in robbing a home or two in the intervening period. But—-go ahead and hold up Mr Ritter as a man you hold undying admiration and loyalty for. On the upside, he’s an ex-convict. He’d be perfect for the Russian Army. They provided no explanation of what they were doing. They just did it.” "Under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution and others, I'm free to travel. The US government cannot restrict my travel without specific justification, none of which was articulated to me and none of which I believe exists. So it's a violation of my Fifth Amendment," “What the US government is saying is that we can control your movement. We can control your life. We can punish you for what you've been saying that we disagree with," Anti constitutional, anti freedom goose steppers will argue that the Biden governments actions are fully legal, justified, and necessary. But just look at what stance you’re taking in regards to the constitution. The constitution protects us all. Not just people we like and agree with. Now, if I am wrong on that, please present your case. RE: Scott Ritters says passport seized by State Department - Marc Mensa - 06-05-2024 07:01 AM Putin is using Ritter… a convicted child predator in the US with no other means of making a living. He marches him out to Chechen troops as a representative of the US people to justify their fighting in Ukraine & also use him as a US voice on Russian state TV. The US government should leave him with his Russian handlers. https://www.newsweek.com/scott-ritter-chechnya-visit-kadyrov-army-speech-1858652 |
