We need to reel in Central Catholic's junior Brooklyn Vaughn. A 6-2 double-double monster, starter since her freshman season. Offers from UT, BG and Wright State.

When did Vaughn become 6'2? Every site lists her as 5'11.

As for Gray, I only see one offer on her twitter thus far, from North Dakota. She was at one of the Rocket games this year tho.

Unsurprisingly, Dykstra and Fegan both 1st team AP all-Michigan in DII.

Also on that 1st team: Kennedy Blair (BG), Lexi Boyke (CMU), Desrae Kyles (CMU)

I see Kendall Braden was named as the Blade's POY, and that her team made it all the way to the state finals this year. I haven't seen any recent new offers for her, and she has not verballed anywhere.

The last Blade POY to select UT was Kaayla McIntyre (she was the last one to go to any MAC school) so still curious to see where Braden ends up.

(The Blade spelled at least 2 players' names wrong in the list of past winners, including McIntyre's. Do better.)

2025 5'11 Peyton Musial from Green Bay Notre Dame, who holds a UT offer, took a visit to UT this week.

Rockets offer 2024 G/W MacKenzie Givens from Walnut Hills HS in Cinci.
Has offers from Akron, Xavier and Dayton (the new coach).
Averaged 13 points a game last year. Found 2 sites listing her height, and one says 5'9 and the other 6'0, so not sure what's going on there. Her hudl is full of defensive highlights, so I can see Cullop's interest.

It's eval season, so expect to see offers being announced in the coming weeks.

Today, UT offered 2025 6'2 Zaniah Zellous, George Washington HS, Charleston, WV.
Has offers from Clemson, Pitt, BYU and Marshall that I can see so far.

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - northcoastRocket - 04-26-2023 04:01 PM

offers posted today:

2025 6'4 C Maya Nahar, Western Reserve Academy, OH, originally from Germany.
Offers from Davidson, Dayton and Xavier that I can find.
https://www.hudl.com/profile/16996401/Maya-Nahar
Really good movement for a 6'4 player who's only a sophomore.

2026 6'0 G Sienna Allen, Portsmouth OH.
Offers from Dayton and Richmond so far. I know another athlete from Portsmouth who didn't do too bad at UT.

As posted in the transfer portal thread, Toledo adds 6'0 G Emmi Rinat, transfer from Rhode Island. Originally from Israel. Played on Israeli national youth teams several years. Two years of eligibility left.

Last year at URI, played about 15 minutes a game, averaging 5 points and 2 boards. Scored over 20 a couple games. Scored 7 when URI played Buffalo. URI was a good team that finished 26-7 last year.

I guess she grew a few inches?

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - Lester - 04-27-2023 05:35 PM

By my count, we have eight players with two years of eligibility left.

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - northcoastRocket - 04-27-2023 07:42 PM

A couple more offers reported:

2025 6'0 Anna Wypych, Rockford, MI
Offers: CMU (Oesterle), BGSU (Fralick), WMU, Valpo, North Dakota, Michigan Tech, Ferris St, GVSU

2026 5'10 Katie Fox, Lakota West, OH
Offers: EMU

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - northcoastRocket - 04-27-2023 07:49 PM

Some highlights of Rinat playing for the Israel U16 national team. I like the defensive highlights.

I was a little confused that this was the right player given the name is shown as "Emma" not "Emmi" and the 2003, but I think that's a birth year and not a class year.

Yep, here's the roster breakdown as of today:

2023-24
Lockett GR 1 season
Wiard GR 1 season
Barnes GR 1 season

Mikonowicz SR 2 seasons
Goss SR 2 seasons
Noveroske SR 2 seasons
Garcia SR 2 seasons
Curry SR 2 seasons

Cook JR 2 seasons
Doherty JR 2 seasons
Rinat JR 2 seasons

Dykstra FR 4 seasons
Fegan FR 4 seasons
Swedlund FR 4 seasons

1 open scholarship

2024-25
Bonner '24 verbal

4 open scholarships

Curry and Noveroske would be 6th year players in 24-25 if they use both their seasons, so it's possible one or both could chose not to use it, but that remains to be seen.

Six months away from early signing and only 1 verbal for '24 so far. Hopefully we will start hearing more in the next few months. In fact, the MAC as a whole seems very behind on verbals for '24 - only 7 total so far that I am aware of, and 2 of those were to BG and 1 to Miami, so those three are probably up in the air now with the coaching changes.

Thank you for these very important and useful updates.

A possible solid core up to and through the '25 season given all opt to stay and play. This would give TC the opportunity to recruit and develop based on recent successes.

Much appreciated.

Go Rockets!

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - northcoastRocket - 05-05-2023 09:42 AM

Well this is a bit of a surprise, as former Buffalo signee, Ella Weaver has committed to Toledo. This fills the roster for '23, unless someone is leaving we have not heard about.

6'0 W from William Monroe HS, in Standardsville, VA. Let's see what we can find about her.

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread - northcoastRocket - 05-05-2023 09:53 AM

Weaver had offers from (at least) Akron, Cleveland St, YSU, NKU, Indiana St, ETSU, Southern Miss, Radford and Boston U, and obviously Buffalo.
