I think the loss that hurts the most isn't on this list, but did happen last week. Shannon Ritch was not retained as the coaching Admin. She is a huge loss in the culture and family environment that UAB has been. She survived Garrick, so she could always tell other what bad was, lol

She was a great gatekeeper for the coaches and a great contact person when you needed something. I assume the replacement is someone with a personal connection to Dilfer?

I would assume so. I also assume that he has no idea what he's losing. If something came up Shannon knew exactly who to call and could make things happen fast with minimal effort and friction.

I completely agree. She cared about the fans and players. She was always smiling and hugging someone. This is a huge loss for the fans as well.

I really appreciated her and she was THE den mom. Spoke to her on various occasions and she even got my Blazer Flag signed by FHC Clark. Wish she could've been retained.

Obviously, Dilfer thinks he can upgrade the position, or he would have retained him. The 1 that I've got my eye in Henley as he is way above average, but the 4-5 other S&C that he is looking probably are too.
