Lakers are going to struggle again. AD almost hurt himself twice, again.

Warriors are going to be the favorites, again.

I've always loved the 6 month, 82 game grind of the NBA schedule. So many ups and downs. Hopefully more ups this season for our hometown Grizzlies.

I'm just glad that finally after 2 1/2 years all sports are back on their normal calendars.

Lebron on pace to pass Jabbar around ASG. Jabbar all for it, seems like he’ll make effort to be in arena to see the record.

Blinding glimpse of the obvious.

This is an over broad claim. Every time AD is on a court, for practice or game, he is in the act of almost hurting himself.

You're really reaching today jon!

AD isn't quite as bad as Sam Bowie, but it's sadly somewhat close.

He's the Chris Sale of the NBA!

You're really reaching to day jon!

Now that the Dodgers are out, you have the Lakers to be bitter over :)

It was a good start to the season to get a blowout win over the Spurs in San Antonio. Hopefully it means something more with how the team performs from here on out.

Suns open with a win over the Mavericks, lose in OT to Portland, then have their way with the Clippers in LA

Pelicans have to be hoping the Lakers really go into the tank this year as they have right to swap #1's this year.

...into the tank?

If you are putting Russell Westbrook into a close game late, aren't you ALREADY IN THE TANK???!!! Take a look at this tweet:

I laugh whenever I watch him play.

The tanking continues-

except they don't even have their pick if it's worse than New Orleans. Pick swap. Oops.

More or less 10 games into the season now. Teams winning as expected: Bucks, Celtics, Grizzlies, Suns, Nuggets, Mavericks. Teams winning and playing above expectations: Jazz, Cavs, Trailblazers, Hawks, Raptors. Teams that have been a disappointment: Knicks, Nets, 76ers, Heat, Clippers, T'Wolves, Warriors. Teams we expected to suck and they are: Lakers, Rockets, Pistons, Magic.

RE: 2022-23 NBA Thread - UofMark - 01-16-2023 11:49 AM

Halfway home now. Teams with a legitimate chance at the title: Celtics, Nets, Bucks, NUggets, Grizzlies, Warriors (I know, but they're the defending champs). NFL parity has come to the NBA and that's a good thing.
Wembenyama tankathon sweepstakes: Magic, Pistons, Hornets, Rockets, Spurs.

I’ve noticed that a lot in the Playoffs lately. Used to be the top seeds always won in the 1st round 3-1, that’s what I’ve always been used to. Bunch of top seeds about to go down right now. Bucks, Cavs, Grizzlies. & Kings are tied w/ the Warriors. Very good for the League in general. (Especially b/c they get Lakers + Heat advancing, & you know they probably want the Warriors too)

RE: 2022-23 NBA Thread - PirateTreasureNC - 05-15-2023 09:43 PM

NBA FINAL FOUR:

7 Lakers vs 1 Nuggets

8 Heat vs 2 Celtics

I get the Celtics are in the ECF with a stopgap coach, but their performance against MIA has been dreadful. No adjustment, no passion.

Boston sports radio wants to run Missoula out on a rail.
