it will depend on the run game. we lost our and one of the best RBs in the game before the season even began. what we have is a makeshift group that did decent in our last game getting about 3 yards per carry on what everyone could tell was a run play. hopefully our coaches use the pass to setup our run game instead of trying to run up the gut like they did last week. we are pretty capable of beating tech but i don't trust our coach staff and our run game is mediocre right now. our defense is still a question if we were as good as last year so i wouldn't be surprised if we lost again.

I think it’s a pick’em with the winner decided based on who makes less unforced errors.
I like playing Tech. Tech knows it identity. It prides itself on being as hostile as possible. Tech’s incomprehensible irrationality is the perfect compliment to Houston’s incomprehensible insecurity.

Most accurate post I've seen about Tech in a long time. Not sure what the irrationality part means exactly, but the remainder is spot-on. Well done sir.

Not sure of our secondary, but Tech's DL should be SOLID.
Tech will throw out all sorts of WR's, and then have 3 TE's to go to. Tech will have 2 solid RB's.
The OL will have to hold up...starting with JUCO transfer Wilburn at Center.
I think Smith get some running opportunities, and I like Tech by 17.

I was a bit disappointed in the UH defense in the UTSA game, and hoping glaring mistakes are corrected, especially the open field tackling. Either UTSAs O-line was magnificent or Sack Ave has become Pothole Alley, we simply did not contain their mobile QB and it really hurt us.
If TTech is as pass happy as it sounds they are, our DBs will need to do better in reading the receivers eyes, as I saw many times they did not react to a pass until it was already in the receivers hands.
I'll go ahead and say it now, the D-coord Belk may have surprised folks last year, but this year his play calling and defensive schemes have not impressed, and I don't think he's the defensive genius he's made out to be.
Prove me wrong! I WANT to be proven wrong.

My reference to irrationality refers to Tech’s belief they are likely to win or contend in nearly every game despite all historical indications to the contrary. It fits the high plains mentality. You have to be somewhat irrational to stake out an existence in cotton farming, ranching, and oil and gas.

i hate shootouts. i like to see big boy football none of that gimmick stuff but with that being said our scheme isn't setup to go toe to toe and fight it through the air.

yeah we shot ourselves in the foot way to many times...something about TT that keeps getting us. this is the 3rd time in a row we kept giving away the gimmies.
