I looked at their signing class to see how it ended up since they started off slow this past year on that front by their own standards.

Good Lord.

27 signings yesterday.

26 are either 4 or 5 stars (they signed a 3 star kicker with that last spot)

14 top 100 recruits.

20 top 200 recruits.

24 top 300 recruits.

Same planet, different worlds.

Bama added another 5 star today.

So now up to 27 4 or 5 star recruits and 15 of the top 100.

Fickell won his bow with Wisky. Hard to know if its because of his coaching skills or which team had more people sitting out and not playing.

Reloading. I think thats the only reason some people hate em. I always kind of like them (when they aren't playing UC) because they irritate Buckeye fans.

Apparently he was kinda just observing. Had his headset on but mainly let the guys who had been coaching do their thing.

They also, weirdly, had only 3 offensive starters from the TCU game healthy at the end of the year. Bitten by the injury bug the likes or which doesn't happen often.

Na if you don’t respect Saban and Alabama’s program you’re crazy. Now the way A&M and the Longhorns go about their business drives me nuts and they both never win jack.

I didn’t follow Okie State much this year but it was also mentioned their starting QB who also led them to Big XII championship last year and was a senior is in transfer portal so they had some backup that looked bad the first half. I didn’t watch the second half.

With the transfer portal and opt outs it’s time for the bowls to go bye-bye.

I'm curious to see if the 12 team playoff starts, will we still see as many opt outs?

I'm sure someone will know. Why don't they move Free Agency and Signing day until after the National Championship game? The only thing I can think of is Spring Football, but I'd personally rather sacrifice the preseason rather than the post season.

I think it has more to do with the start of the new semester of classes, but I agree the timing of things needs to change.

Well then there...it's time for universities to get their priorities straight and change the semesters to match up with the bowl season...

UCF looking like the Bowlcation era Tuberville teams already...

It’s so weird. With the transformation of College Football I don’t even care about these this year. I’m usually tuned to all of them to see how teams finish and see how they might be next year. But the teams playing in these bowls aren’t even the same teams that played the regular season. It’s like a split squad spring training game.

Arkansas up 24-7 on our future conference mates Kansas at the Liberty Bowl. Still 7 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter

I'm right there with you...I've only watched two bowls this year, Cincinnati and Toledo.

I am right with the both of you (sorry, did not watch Toledo), and our bowl game was very much the split squad spring training game Billy referenced.

^^^^
I've watched a few more but "watch" is the operative word. I haven't been exactly glued to the TV during the entirety of the exhibition season. That said, the bowl matchups are getting better and of course the CFP is days away. Currently watching the Tar Heels vs the Ducks.
