So much for #21 Minny's time in the Top 25. They lose to Purdue. One of #22 Wake Forest or #23 FSU will end the day with a loss as well.

PJ's rowboat suck.

We are going to kick ourselves all year for stepping on our schlongs in that Arkansas game. They aren't very good.

Agreed...but after this week, I only see one other loss on their schedule. 9-3 in the SEC West will end up being like Top 20 in the country with the way they rank teams, regardless of the fact that they likely aren't one of the 20 best teams.

Arkansas coming back. Down 28-14 and just recovered a surprise onside kick

Bryce Young is hurt for Alabama.

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread - UCGrad1992 - 10-01-2022 05:01 PM

The Hogs are still fightin'....or bitin' after a score and a recovered onside kick.

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread - UCGrad1992 - 10-01-2022 05:10 PM

That's game for the Hogs. Three points does nothing really. I would've gone for it on 4th and goal from the four or three. If you don't get it you have Bama on their heels from the end zone. Still down 11 points....

Alabama is falling apart

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread - BcatMatt13 - 10-01-2022 05:20 PM

Michigan State is about to drop to 2-3 with Ohio State coming to town next Saturday.

Didn’t they just give their coach $90 mil guaranteed or something like that?

I thought that contract was premature.

#17 TAMU, #18 OK, #21 Minny, and #23 FSu all lost, and #24 Pitt is losing.

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread - Billy_Bearcat - 10-01-2022 10:07 PM

Bearcatman’s buddy Mel Tucker keeps earning that coin.

Meanwhile, Indiana is proving to suuuuuuck

Pitt about to suffer a horrific loss to GT at home.

UC should be ranked come tomorrow.

When the British surrendered to the Colonials at Yorktown, the band reportedly played "The World Turned Upside Down."

Well get ready for Act II:
Kansas beats Iowa State and the students rush the field... KU 5-0.
uConn beats Fresno State and they tweet out some lame comment about "Fresno's not a state..." uConn is now 2-3.

Egads!

Gameday is in Lawrence, KS for TCU-Kansas next week, which will be a Top 25 conference matchup. 2010 college football fans would be dropping you off at a psych-ward for suggesting that.

Love me some MELt downs.

Jimbo Fisher and Mel Tucker have a combined guaranteed compensation of $168M over the next 9 years and they are a combined 5-5 this season with losses to Appalachian State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Minnesota, and Washington and still have Bama, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Mississippi on their schedules (all will be Top 5 teams). There's a very real chance that TAMU ends up at 7-5 and MSU ends up at 4-8 or 5-7. I ******* love when stupid ass contracts immediately bite people in the ass. I wonder when Kenneth Walker's royalty checks start kicking in from East Lansing.

Best part is, MSU is completely ******. With their DoE fines for Title 9 Violations, the Nassar Settlements, and this contract, they are so cash poor that they have no means with which to get rid of Tucker. If he is bad, and he looks to be pretty damn bad considering he hasn't even gotten to the meat of his schedule this year and he is under .500 in 3 seasons at MSU, they likely won't have the cash to fire him for another 5 years.

Jimbo is raking on recruiting trail. They are going to be really good the next couple of years.

I wonder if Arky's beatdown at home and Indy's inability to win a B1G game will keep us out of the Top 25? Not losing any sleep over it because we have to keep winning for it to matter in the end. A lot of football to go.

Voters are way too lazy to look into things like that.

Well, they can look at records. Arky 3-2. Indy 3-2. I assume the Hogs will also fall out of the Top 25. We just need to keep winning...
