That'll be a nice early test. After Seton Hall the Tigers will play either Oklahoma/Nebraska. With Ole Miss in the other bracket We could possibly be playing them twice within the week as the Tigers December schedule is coming together with Ole Miss at home on Sat. Dec. 3rd, Auburn in Atlanta on Sat. Dec 10 and Texas A&M at home on Sat. Dec 17. All this info was Mike Ceide on News3 sports last night.

GoTigersGo has the Auburn game posted on Dec 10th as part of Holiday Hoopsgiving.

Yeah ... And wait until next season. We're gonna need all of the tough OOCs we can get.

Football plays At Mississippi St first game. Good to see that you figured out which screen name to use

99% of the time the tigers struggle in these early season tourney's and then the board goes into weeks of nuclear meltdown.

I expect more of the same this year.

Kind of like when the Cowboys lose.

Actually the cowboys win early, get all the hype, then collapse at the end.

The tigers collapse early, spend most of the season under tremendous heat and pressure, then end strong.

Its a broken record. I expect more of the same from both this year.

Good to have the recognition but probably the kiss of death

RE: Tiger Hoops Opening Tournament - k2tigers - 07-27-2022 08:51 AM

Team to beat: Memphis lost key players to the transfer portal and Jalen Duren to the NBA, but the addition of Kendric Davis (19.4 PPG, 37% from 3 last season), who will enter the season with All-American and Wooden Award aspirations after a stellar career at SMU, will give Penny Hardaway a chance to make another run at the NCAA tournament. Boise State transfer Emmanuel Akot (10.6 PPG) and returnee DeAndre Williams (11.1 PPG) will further boost an intriguing roster.

Like Seth Davis picking us to beat Kansas in 2008.

We lost …..Duren, Bates, Lomax, Minott, Lester Q, Tyler Harris, Timberlake, and Nolley. To think we might be better is borderline crazy…if it happens, Penny is truly the man.

But there will still be people panicking next April that we haven't signed enough HS kids.

Mac if by better you mean more individually talented you might be correct. If by better you mean as a more talented team you are probably incorrect. This team could not possibly be more disjointed than last year's. This team is much more mature and that means a lot. At this point the only fear is about how long it takes for this team to mesh.
